Initially I chose this campsite because the location seemed ideal for a peaceful getaway, nestled in the forest of a quaint small town in the middle of nowhere, South Island. Turns out, peaceful it was not. Stuck inbetween all the semi-permanent holiday goers and noisy families meant the noise was almost incessant. Usually it dies down after a while but...

Very well managed place, clean and comfortable. They have great cabins as well. The owners of the place are super friendly and helpful. Definitely the best Holiday Park during our trip. Also, good place for kids, our son had really good time.

We stayed here for three nights and had a great time. A real kiwi campground with a nice relaxed atmosphere.Stayed under the trees so nice a shady on hot days. Bathroom and kitchen facilities were very clean - $1 showers for 7 mins. Swimming dam 200 meters away. Bring your mountainbike and enjoy the nearby trails in the forest. Nice...

Love this place. Stayed in an awesome little miners cottage which was very cheap. 2 separate bedrooms, one with a queen bed, one with two sets of bunks. Separate lounge, separate equipped kitchen, and lovely spacious bathroom, Cottage #2. Lovely and quiet. No microwave, but there's one in the main kitchen The camping ground itself is well protected by tall...

We have always had a soft spot for Naseby as my husband lived here in his single days. The last time we stayed here it was snowing so a bit warmer this time. It is quite an attractive Holiday Park because of the trees and well maintained grounds. The facilities are very clean. Unfortunately our one nights stay came at...

We had a very friendly welcome. We were given a tent site among the trees, very sheltered form any wind, and a welcome respite from the hot sun. Our days were filled with mountain biking and swimming at the dam, and the morning pilgrimage to the excellent café down the hill. Thoroughly recommend this place, perfect with a family. Thanks...

It was so nice to find a dog friendly camp where I can also ride my mountain bike. Naseby is a quiet town with a Cafe, shop and friendly locals. Larchveiw is an amenity filled camp ground. Kitchen, toilets, hot showers and kid friendly playground. The highlight for us is the forest filled with mountain biking trails. You could easily...

My partner and I with our dog had a lovely few days at this attractive camp. The camp was pretty full, with lots of other dogs but there were no problems at all. Wonderful walking/cycling tracks. And The Black Forest cafe just down the hill was awesome!

We stayed here on a trip south because they allowed dogs which we were very pleased about. There were other dogs at the park and they manage this very well. There's lots of nice places around about to walk the dog, eg a nice forest right behind the park, and this added to the enjoyment of our stay. The park...

Matthew, Tracy, Charlie and Harry de Woeps invite you to come and stay at Naseby's premier Holiday Park - The Holiday Park is set in 17 acres of Larch and native New Zealand trees adjacent to a swimming dam, just what you need after a hot day in the Otago sunshine. Or why not take a rest day from cycling the rail trail and come and enjoy the peace and tranquillity that Naseby provides.Since taking over the holiday Park 7 years ago we have undertaken extensive, environmentally friendly renovations while still keeping the beauty and the history of The Park intact. For the environmentally conscious amongst us we are happy to supply you with pegs so you can dry your laundry in the Central Otago fresh air.We also provide Wi-Fi internet access (charge) with a local IT expert on hand to help with any problems you may experience with connectivity. Our recently built Children playground is a mixture of fun and friendship and a central part of our Park with something for children old and young. There is only one way to truly travel around the Naseby Township and that is by bike. We hire adult mountain bikes for a half or full day, we also have an infant carrier and a tag along bike.We have a selection of accommodation available which include powered and unpowered sites, cabins (recently renovated) chalets and houses and original Miner's cottages (built in 1893) our houses and cottages all come with a log burner and a good supply of firewood.
