Room is much nicer than the pictures make out! Very clean comfy bed! Only problem is there are no local taxi's if you are at a venue close by. This isn't the hotels fault so I wouldn't mark them down for this.

Recently stayed at the Red Lion for one night. Received a warm welcome on arrival and immediately taken up to our top floor room. The room was comfortable if somewhat tired in appearance. Tea and coffee making facilities were included, with plenty of coffee/tea/milk available. The en-suite was adequate for the one night although it is on 2 levels and...

We stayed at the Red Lion recently when on business in the area. A warm welcome and friendly service. My dietary needs were catered for. We will be to stay there again when in the area and I'm happy to recommend the Red Lion to others.

My wife and I stayed at the Red Lion for one night as our normal venue was fully booked. We stayed in Room 4 at the top of the stairs and was quietly surprised at how nice the room was. The bed was comfy and the small en-suite w.c. basin & shower was adequate for our one night. The two...

We stayed as a family of 3 for 2 nights (Thurs & Fri) as a base for a wedding we were attending fairly close by. The room was immaculate, new carpets, plenty of coffee/tea/milk (so many places we have stayed give 2 tea bags, 2 coffee sachets and 2 milk....not enough) and comfy beds. We got a very warm welcome...

Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean adequately furnished (comfortable bed). If I was being picky the bathroom could do with a refurbishment some time in the near future. The breakfast was good and reasonably priced. There's free Wifi and car parking.

Stayed here for a night while attending a concert in Delamere Forest, Lovely old pub with nice food and a good atmosphere. Rooms are very clean but a little tired. Hosts were great and the locals friendly. Would return again without hesitation.

I have recently stayed here and overall the red lion was a nice place. The good points are that there is a free car park on site and the food is really nice and well priced. The owners are very friendly and cannot do enough for you. The room is nice and very well equipped including a DVD player with...
