My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights in early September. It is the perfect location to explore this beautiful part of the world. The hotel and restaurant are comfortable and the food excellent. Most of all our hosts were so friendly, warm and hospitable. Lovely stay.

My wife and I stayed at this wonderful hotel for 2 nights en-route from Italy back to the UK. What a find! The hotel staff were most welcoming, the room lovely, the outlook fantastic and the food was superb. The underground garage parking was an additional bonus. I fully recommend half board as the additional cost is minimal in comparison...

I stayed here toward the end of September and it was a memorable set of days! There are numerous long and short hikes in the area, taking you into beautiful forests and through stunning vineyards, rising majestically at the edge of the hills to the west. This is also the Europe's largest apple orchard, so that the valley is a...

We were here for two nights and regret we couldn't stay longer. It was great. The room was not very luxurious, but good, clean and good beds, The staff was very friendly. The village is surrounded by vineyards. You can make lovely 'winewalks'. During your walk you can have a sniff at the little bottles with ingredients for wine, hanging...

A beautiful setting, in a wonderful part of Italy. The room is not luxurious, service is very good, and it is priced a the upper end of the reasonable scale. The Church is located next door, and they do ring the bells early in the morning. Particularly the get out of bed at 0700 round is somewhat challenging.

Always taking a chance when booking a hotel with no previous experience, but what a gem Schwarz Adler turned out to be. Wonderfully situated in the centre of a small village above the Adige valley with its vineyards and apple orchards, no real distance from Bolzano and Merano. Well appointed rooms, many with views of the mountains, the valley, the...

We visited this hotel in July 2010 during a week of exceptionally warm weather ,and , apart from wishing that the rooms were air- conditioned, were very happy there. This was our second visit to this attractive hotel, having stayed there for a few nights last spring. The location is perfect , the small village of Cortaccia [ Kurtatsch -...
