We came to Majahuitas on our honeymoon the first week of June and had the most incredible time! As other reviewers have noted, everything was exactly as advertised. When we landed at PVR, someone was waiting for us, ushered us to a cab which took us to the port at Boca de Tomatlan, where the Majahuitas boat met us and...

This resort is simply perfect and exactly as advertised! They greeted us immediately and helped us into a taxi - met us at the boat launch to load our luggage in to the boat for the trip to the resort. Alex met us at arrival and ushered us to the Clif House, a beautiful casita overlooking the beach. We took...

When we booked our trip we had seen all the great reviews and were hoping we would not be let down. When we go on vacation we want to get away from it all and relax and this vacation was perfect. You have no worries while at Majahuitas. If you want to watch TV or crazy nightlife this is obviously...

Since our first visit to Maja in 2002, we've returned in 05, 07 and this year. Every visit we ask ourselves why we don't return sooner. From the staff, to Margo and Kevin, the 4 fish crazy labs, the views, the warm weather, awesome food, what else would one need? I've said it before and I'll say it again. If...

We returned for our sixth visit last Christmas. We have been to Majahuitas for Christmas/New Years, Easter and in October. I definitely recommend December/January - but all of our visits have been great. Our first visit back in 2000 with two kids wildly protesting the concept of staying in houses with no real doors, walls and windows was a blast....

My husband and I stayed at Majahuitas Resort from last Thrusday thru yesterday morning for our 5th Anniversary and we have to say that it covered 100% our expectations!... we had the greatest time in there! I found this place thru another web page and then looked for it in TripAdvisor, most of reviews were rated high and now I...

We loved the food, the private beach** and our casita. The only thing strange about the beach were the daily pirate visits around 9AM or 10AM other then that no one else dropped in. I haggled with the manager and managed to get the lovely Cliff House all to ourselves despite being a party of two. The Cliff House is...

October 25th-30th 2009. I don't even know where to begin... Majahuitas is such a special place! A true hidden gem! My husband and I just got back and I can't keep my mind off that amazing place. If you are looking for a rustic but gorgeous place to go this is it! When I say rustic, I mean more like...

The travelers writing bad reviews about Majahuitas seem not to have understood what they were getting into before they went. Simply put, you will love Majahuitas if you want time away from EVERYTHING. No electricity, no phones, no computers, no television. Just you, a good book, lots of time on the beach or in a hammock, and good company. This...
