We stayed for 2 nights at the end of our stay in Iceland, its about a 30 minute bus ride from the city on the number 15 bus which dropped us literally right outside the hotel, The views from the corner room we ended up in were awesome, the staff were great in helping us order some food in as...

We stayed in January when it was cold and the nights were long. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. Our room was large (and warm) with comfy beds and, no matter what time of day, there was always hot water. There isn't a huge amount to do in Mosfellsbaer and the choice of restaurants and bars is limited...

Just had such a pleasant stay at Hotel Laxnes! Sean was incredibly helpful before our trip and was just as kind and helpful once we arrived. It was so easy to book a tour through the hotel and Sean was able to help with all of our requests. The hotel itself is beautiful and conveniently located next to a shopping...

I have just returned this morning from a three night stay at The Laxness, it was brilliant and the staff were amazing! Nothing was too much trouble and they sorted all our tours and transfers very smoothly. The hotel is clean and functional with everything you would need including a European plug adaptor for the girl who forgot hers!! We...

My daughter arranged a weekend stay at Laxnes with Northern Lights tour. What a gem this place is. Close to the city of Reykjavik, but also on the outskirts and on the way to the 'Golden Circle' tour (great value and brilliant day out - do it!) The Northern Lights tour collects from the hotel itself and we were lucky...

Very warm and welcome stay. The owner was very helpful!! The area is away from Reykjavik so there is less light pollution making it very possible to see the Northern lights without taking a tour. A great stay

The triple easily fit us and the mountain views were nice when the weather was accommodating. during our stay, a bad storm hit and the staff was more then willing to give us advice on where would be okay to go and what time to...

After reading reviews on TripAdvisor we decided Hotel Laxnes was the sort of hotel we were looking for, we were not disappointed. We were lucky enough to have a suite on the upper floor with balcony and multiple skylights. The view was stunning and the Northern Lights didn't let us down appearing twice in our 4 night stay, the area...

I'd booked Iceland as a surprise holiday for my partners birthday and wanted a hotel on the outskirts of Reykjavik as we aren't city people. That said, we didn't want to be too far from the city as we still wanted to be able to easily access any tours/ attractions. This hotel was perfect for us. The hotel staff were...
