Where do I start? From the moment we stepped off the bus - sent to collect us from the ferry terminal - the welcome could not have been warmer. The staff were uniformly amazing. You really felt that there wasn't anything they wouldn't do for you. We took the hotel bikes and cycled south one day - highly recommended. There is one big hill (but we pushed the bikes up that!) and then you've got string of beaches to yourself, some with little fishermen's shrines on them. The food was *amazing*. I uploaded a menu. Some of the best food we have had in Japan - and I have lived in Kyoto for 2 years. Don't be put off that its a 20 minute walk to the ferry terminal - the bus is available to take you there and back, seemingly whenever you like.

I visited Miyajima with my family (wife, daughter and mom-in-law) and stayed 2 nights at Miyajima seaside hotel. The service provided by the hotel staff was outstanding and very polite. The Hot bath at the hotel premises was hot and clean with good facility. I liked the fact that the water was hot just like visiting an Onsen ! (Natural hot springs). The food was great , with Japanese traditional food (prime being oyster and fish ). And was very relaxing as it was served in our room. Overall would recommend to anyone planning to go to Miyajima .
