We went for our anniversary, it was a cold rainy day. but the room was very comfortable and the view out over the bay was nice, but limited due to the rain. The next morning the rain stopped and we could see more clearly from the 25th floor.

Very clean, good breakfast, excelent view, great location, very kind staff. We had city view but there are some room with view to the port and city. Even thought excelent view. The breakfast is balanced not so heavy good to start the day. Good.

The hotel is in a very good location, facing the waterfront. Plenty of shops and restaurants within minutes walking. My bedroom was massive, compared to Japanese standards. It had all the amenities and a gorgeous view of the city and the ferry’s wheel. The breakfast was very nice and I used the restaurant every day for six days. I did not use the leisure/sport facilities so I can’t comment. The staff were, as everywhere I have stayed in Japan, second to none in courtesy, helpfulness and friendliness. They can’t do enough for you. I recommend this hotel 100% and can’t wait to stay there again.

If you follow Japanese TV dramas or movies, you will usually notice a building looking like a quarter of a circle. Yes, this is InterContinental Yokohama Grand and we are glad to be here finally! The shopping and dining options inside the hotel might be a bit limited, but this is connected to many other shopping malls and hotels, so you will have so many options within walking distance. The view of the Ferris Wheel area is also very nice. Highly recommended.

Stayed in intercon yokohama grand last night and may I just say that all the staff I’ve encountered are very accommodating and helpful. I left my charger at the hotel after check out, called the hotel and they did their best they can to find it for me. They called me back saying they found it and even offered to send to me via mail. I’m very satisfied! Thank you!

I went to hotel at around 3pm just to book surprised diner our wedding anniversary and same time I asked Bell staff named Koki if is there any room available for me and my wife to stay, He took me to reception desk met Alexander Russian friendly gentlemen, and explained my best available rate, then koki san showed my nice room on 24th floor with ocean view king size bed and I said I love this room. I took the room and checked in and took me just less then 5 minutes, check in was so smooth and quick. Then I went to Concierge to ask hotel greeting card, Mai Hirota san beyond call of duty provided me with card and beautiful sticker to be sticked on the card, then he guided me to flower shop to arrange wonderful flower for my wife. Then at around 5 I am coming back to hotel to place wan wan inside the room and stoped by at the concierge to ask another greeting card, again Hirota san gave me another card, then I went to the room, found wonderful flower has been placed it wonderfully - Thank you Hirota san :) Then I went down to lobby met Hirota san again and old me that my room will be upgraded to next category then she took me up to another room, and surprised the floor is my lucky number 26. The she showed me the room - I love it, she told me that her manager upgrades me to this room, and also a bottle of champagne will be placed inside the room - Thank you so much for doing this and thank you Manager :) After dinner, I went to lobby again, and pretending that I am outside guest asking for show room, I went to Belldesk and asked Yamamoto san to take us to the room, I told her that this is surprised for my wife and my wife did not know that we are staying in the hotel, I gave her my room key and pretending that we are just to see the room, then my wife so surprised actually the room is for us with all wonderful setup.. again thank you all. In the evening I received wonderful messege from Haruka san Concierge. Once again, Thank you all for your wonderful service, you all made our day and stay wonderful beyond expectation.

We visited during the COVID-19 pandemic and were very satisfied with the precautions taken by the hotel, including temperature checks at the main (1st floor) entrance (though, notably, not on the 2nd floor entrance, which seemed odd). The hotel is well situated near the Queens Square Mall, which has some great restaurants and shopping. The hotel is also walking distance from the historic Yokohama Ferris Wheel and the Red Brick Warehouse, which under normal conditions are great places to visit. If you’re coming to Yokohama to visit one of the city’s other great sites - Chinatown - you may consider a hotel a bit closer. The Intercontinental is three train stops from Chinatown and, while it’s also a walkable distance (about 30 minutes), there are other closer hotel options to Chinatown worth considering. While we found the service at the hotel to be very good, I was disappointed with the lack of maintenance on the 19th floor. There were many places in the common areas and in our room (1912) where paint touch-ups and wallpaper repair were very much needed. The carpets could also do with a good cleaning. Nothing terrible, but I expect better maintenance at hotels of this caliber. All in all, we had a good experience - a nice respite from the craziness of Tokyo. We would consider staying here again.

Stayed there for 3 nights. Services are very good. Room is spacious. My room is a bay view room so the view is magnificent. Breakfast buffet is tasty. The only issue is its bathroom. It’s very traditional, decoration is old style with soap but no liquid soap. The location of the hotel is convenient. It’s only two subway stations from Yokohama Station. The subway station nearest to the hotel, which takes a 5 min walk to the hotel, has several office buildings and lots of restaurants there. The hotel is next to a park along the bay so it’s wise to take a walk along this beautiful park during morning as there are fewer people.
