The hosts were very friendly and check in was seamless. In the middle of town and just a short walk from the famous Senso ji temple, shops, and restaurants- this place is awesome! The Japanese style room and large hot bath was also nice to have.
Thank spoun

The Location for this Ryokan is fab, its literally 2minutes walk to Senosji Temple and all the shops around it. The station which is the Ginza line is also 5minutes away. Its more of a hotel than a traditional Ryokan, but you do get the feel of a Ryokan. The beds n pillows were super comfortable. Check-in is at 3pm-10:30pm. We were late as we were coming in from Toyoma and arrived at the Ryokan at 1am. The person checking us in was not too happy with us, but we know that was our fault. It just felt a bit awkward as a first time experience. Other than that the Ryokan is very clean, the hot bath on the 6th floor is fantastic and a great way to start the day. Its separate for male and female and has great views of the Tokyo tower. The breakfast which we didn't have also looked really good, as we saw other guest enjoying it very much. I would stay again for sure.

· We stayed on the 4th floor, room 403. Its small but for Japan its reasonable size. The room was a bit humid and smelt of dampness esp from the bedsheets. We couldn't find the aircon switch, so decided to sleep with the window open. That wasn't a good idea as got eaten alive by mosquitos.

We hope that our big hot bath makes our guests feel relax and you had nice experiences by feeling Japanese traditional things. Otherwise we feel sorry that you could not find the aircon switch. We made you hesitate to ask us because of late check-in. We apologize for what you felt unpleasant. It would be nice if we could welcome you again. Please enjoy our breakfast next time. Thank you very much. Ryokan Kamogawa

My husband and I recently spent a week at the Ryokan Kamogawa and cannot praise it highly enough. It is a small, quiet inn in a perfect location - less than 10 minute walk from major train station, 5 minute walk from Sensoji Temple, a few blocks from the beautiful Sumida river, an easy walk to Kitchen Street, in the midst of literally hundreds of small shops and eateries. The inn keepers were so friendly and welcoming it felt like we had known them for a long time. We ate the Japanese breakfast every day - it was very, very good - and we miss it now that we are home and facing Cheerios and toast in the morning. The family bath downstairs was such a treat every night after a long day of sightseeing - just sign up in the morning for a private 30 minute time in the tub later that day. Our room was actually two tatami chambers - the inner one held the very comfortable futons and had a closet to hang clothes and a small floor safe for our use. The smaller outer room held a low table and two chairs, a mini-frig, electric hot water kettle and green tea supplies. The bathroom included a tub with shower, sink and bidet toilet. The entry to the bathroom held our towels and yukata and had a shelf where we could put our own toiletries. Truly, there was absolutely nothing not to like here. A small traditional style inn within walking distance of one of Tokyo's best known tourist areas, amazing food, wonderful English speaking staff, all at a very reasonable price. We would give it a 10 star review if that was possible.

We only stay for one night here. The futon is fluffy, the big bath could be reserved with no additional fee, the breakfast 8s superb and very close to the temple and the gate and nakamise street. Amenities is standard japan, shiseido. We also het some of traditional snacks.

My first Ryoken and first time sleeping on a traditional Japanese bed, using a Japanese bath/shower and toilet.

There are facilities onsite for food although I only used it for breakfast, for which I had a traditional Japanese breakfast which was delicious (they do continental as well)

There is an onsen/bath onsite as well although I did not use it
Thank Daniel H

Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old
Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa.
Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit
a variety of different museums and galleries. At
Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the
grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed
alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at
the end of the year, when many people go on shopping

Its probably 10 minutes walk go the train and then30 minutes to the airport. The problem is finding the train platform .We spent the best part of an hour working in out the day before we left.
