Reasonably priced, newer, very clean hotel in an excellent location. A subway station is one minute away and the main Shinjuku train station is within 10 minutes walking distance. Our 7-night stay was for business, and we extended the trip for some relaxation. Booking a twin room and pushing the beds together gives you a larger bed and more room overall. Our twin, non-smoking room had great amenities: microwave, adjustable between 500 - 700 watts; small refrigerator; combo washer/dryer. Several packets of laundry detergent were provided at check-in (a least for a 7-night stay). WiFi was excellent--we were able to stream video with no problem. We had no issues with noise from the street or other guests. Some things to note: The refrigerator does not have a "freezer" section near the top; it keeps things cool, but obviously won't hold ice or frozen food. Electrical outlets are abundant, but there are no convenient places to plug in a grounded (3-prong) plug to charge a laptop. However, you can probably unplug the trouser press or lighted vanity table and use one of those outlets if needed. We travel with adaptors, so it was not an issue. Note that there is no daily room cleaning, but they will provide clean towels. You control the air conditioning in the room: you can set it all the way down to 18 celsius if you'd like for sleeping. Using the washer/dryer does heat up the room a bit (as does the heated mirror in the bathroom, which we could not turn off). There was a sliding door separating the sleeping area from the entry/bathroom area, and closing it improved A/C efficiency. If you want a washer/dryer in your room, make sure it is listed when you book the room--washers are not available in every room. Restaurants and bars are abundant around the hotel, though during our visit, their hours were limited and many places were closed due to the COVID state of emergency. There is a Family Mart convenience store around the corner that has good breakfast options and very good refrigerated microwavable meals. The area is very LGBT-friendly. We highly recommend this hotel and hope to stay here again.…
Tokyu Stay was in a perfect location, within walking distance to all attractions within Shinjuku. There are also many restaurants surrounding the hotel, so finding something to eat shouldn't be an issue. Check in and check out was very easy and the staff was professional and helpful. The rooms were great! Perfect size, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, and all the amenities you need. The price is very affordable considering the location. We had a great stay and would certainly come back.
The room was so far the biggest in Tokyo I’ve stayed and located nearby to JR. there are restaurants everywhere nearby. There is a washing machine and dryer in the room and makes laundry convenient especially when travelling during winter season. However, the hotel does not do changing of towels and cleaning of cups in order to conserve energy.
This room was reasonably priced, in a wonderful Shinjuku location, safe, quiet, friendly staff, all the modern amenities, I loved the breakfast buffet. View from the room was only so-so (poor viewing angle), but otherwise standard faire for a 3 star hotel. I travelled with my son, and his room had a washing machine and dryer! Whilst my room did not, i regret a) not knowing they had such rooms and b) not requesting one, as that would have been terribly convenient. Overall great stay, other than the rain!
I recently stayed here for 6 nights whilst visiting Japan. The room was a good size, immaculately clean and had every amenity to help us have a relaxed and comfortable stay. The washing machine in the room was a bonus! The staff on Reception were always polite and willing to help. The hotel is in a good location for exploring Tokyo. I would highly recommend this hotel.
I stayed here for 6 days. Although tiny, the room was very clean as was the hotel itself. The location was excellent, with a Family Mart on the same block and numerous restaurants right outside the front door. The subway is also extremely close. You can walk to every attraction in Shinjuku from this hotel. The staff were nice and helpful. The room was quiet. WiFi was not consistent, but fortunately I had paid for a unlimited data SIM card so I just shut the WIFI off when I was in the room. My room did not have a microwave or washing machine, but did have a refrigerator and humidifier, and I managed. I would stay again if I’m Shinjuku.
We stayed for 5 nights in Shinjuku. Great location but terrible customer service. We didn't know that there is a policy of no room cleaning if you stay less than 7 days only to found out after arrival to the hotel. When we booked on the Expedia we do realised that there will be no make bed but nothing was stated on the website that there will be no room cleaning. It is common sense that all hotels do room cleaning but to our shocked we found out only upon arrival which was already too late because we have paid the bill. They should clearly state out in the website so that customers can decide whether or not to make the reservation. What they are doing is clearly wrong and misleading. They wanted us to pay the extra of $1100 yens per day if we want our room clean and the front counter even demanded us to pay first before 12.30pm if we want our room clean. That was the last straw. Initially, we wanted it but later we decided not to because it is very unprofessional, insulting and rude for them to demand us to pay first before cleaning. All hotel we go settled the bill upon check out. Ridiculous and unbelievable! We have travelled to many countries and this is the first time we have ever experienced this type of hotel who don't do room cleaning. Every hotel we go does room cleaning. They said it's the hotel policy but they must know it's also customers's right to know your policy before we purchase or make any type of reservation. Another terrible service is they don't even take away used glasses and replenish new ones and replenish new slippers. They said you got to ask if you want it. How ridiculous and terrible. This is basic things and customers don't have to ask for it as we have already paid for the room. My advise is to stay away from this type of hotel if you want a good vacation. There are better options of hotels in Shinjuku.…
The location of the hotel in Shinjuku can't be beat, there are a lot of food options within walkable distance, and the exit of subway station Shinjuku san-chome is just a few steps away. You can either take exit C3 (need to climb a flight of stairs) or C6 (lift for easy access with luggages). The walk to Shinjuku station is an easy (and flat) 7 mins walk away. Very easy to navigate to the hotel even with luggages. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room size is considered spacious, considering the generally cramped rooms available in Tokyo. Overall an amazing stay at this hotel and I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Tokyo!
stay 3 nights in this hotel. The staffs are friendly and helpful. This hotel is really suitable for family too, although the room is small, and you can't ask for extra bed. So if you travel together with 2 kids, I think you'll need extra room. They have a washing machine and a microwave, so you can let the machine do the laundry while you do the sightseeing or shopping. Near the hotel, there are lots of restaurants and you can find family mart or 7eleven. Make sure you ask for smoking room, if you're not a smoker. Coz last time we were there, it's hard to get rid of the smell even there's a humidifier in a room. But we really enjoy to stay there because of the location.
Stayed for a night here and wished I had stayed here for more days during my 8days Japan holiday. There's a washing machine with dryer in the room, with trouser press. Location was superb. Right in the middle of Shinjuku. Close to the JR lines as well as bars and eating places. However I found it weird thst there is no bottled drinks given even for just a night's stay. My partner and I didn't bring home any water so we kind of had to endure till we go out the next day for drinks.
