Quite possibly the worst front desk staff ever encountered. From the first moment, it was apparent that they were not organized. Tried to lie about being full and not able to accommodate the requested room. Then tried to charge more. Then had the manager try to explain the lie as not a lie. (They really only had 9% guest capacity that day). Would not consider an upgrade for Platinum members as is customary. Asked for payment in advance and then tried to ask for payment again at checkout. Took so long for them to see their errors and then had only a simply sorry. In short… airheads in charge of liars trying to make additional money for greedy new ownership. This is not a “Hyatt” property but only in name.
It was a japanese holiday during covid so my daugher and I decided to stay within tokyo metropolitan area yet wanted to stay at a place that gives us a good rest. Chose Hyatt Regency Tokyo for the first time (we live in Tokyo so we do not stay any hotels in Tokyo normally) and it was great and I want to be a repeater. Thanks Hyatt!
The Hyatt Regency Tokyo's management took extremely good care of our family including our 2 year old and 3 month old. Our stay was for 12 nights and was very comfortable. The staff took care of all our needs and went beyond what was expected.
First and foremost, the hotel took great care to implement the many steps and ways to safeguard against Covid-19. I felt very safe while staying in the hotel. The view of Mt Fuji from the room was truly spectacular. The staff were very courteous. And despite not having stayed in this hotel for a couple of years now because of the pandemic, the front desk staff remembered my preference of the room and choice and newspaper. The concierge lounge had a wide selection of drinks and snacks throughout the day. The evening hor d'oeuvres and drink were very good, and enough to be a light supper for some, including yours truly here.
This was my third or fourth time staying at the Hyatt Regency Tokyo. I am always impressed with the helpful and professional staff (from concierge, reception, dining, housekeeping...) and the room was in excellent condition and cleaned immaculately. Thanks for another wonderful stay.
This is a nice getaway in a middle of busy Shinjuku. After walking here and there in Shinjuku station East and Kabuki-cho area, which is always full of people, lively and exciting, this is a perfect place to relax, calm and regain yourself.
We stayed there for two nights to rest and relax. There were a few shortcomings, but the level of hospitality outweighed that. Especially the room service and the cleanliness. I think the Regency Club needs a little more improvement. would use it again.
It’s in the middle of Shinjuku metropolitan area. Location is quite convenient for any type of use as the subway station is down below. The hotel itself had been built before there was barrier-free or universal design concept, so the access to the hotel is quite challenging.
They everyday send breakfast directly to the room while I was on 15 days Quarantine. They upgrade us to Atrium Suite depending on the availability us Globalist. They clean our room every four days. While cleaning the room, they make us stay at other room for a while.
It was very delighted to stay in Hyatt Regency Tokyo. It also was much better than I Expected. Specially the location and view was good. and the Service of the staff was execelent I am planning to stay again if I have a chance.
