AKASAKA YOKO HOTEL

My 2 month stay at the Akasaka Yoko Hotel was amazing. The entire staff are extremely well mannered and they make it their duty for you to enjoy your stay. However Rabin Thakuri (who I would now call a good friend) went beyond his duties to make me feel at home during my long stay. A genuinely great guy, that made my stay in Japan and at the Akasaka Hotel that much better. This is my 3rd time being in Japan and I would recommend the Akasaka Yoko Hotel every-time to anyone planning on staying in Japan, it’s an awesome location, with an even better staff !

Quiet and welcoming

We stayed in a Japanese style room. It has nice Japanese charm. A family of 3 fit comfortably in the room. The staff are welcoming and friendly. We got free soba and a mochi demonstration for new year's. The hotel is in a great, quiet location close to the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda line.

We received words of praise for the staff's response, and all the staff happily read. Every year on New Year's Eve, we have New Year's Eve soba at the restaurant, and on the New Year's Day, we have rice cakes at the lobby, and customers who have spent the New Year's holidays at the hotel are enjoying the atmosphere of the New Year. We are not new, but we do our best to keep you clean. As for the location, Roppongi is within walking distance and close to Shibuya and Ginza, making it very convenient for sightseeing and shopping. Tokyo is changing every day for the Olympics. In the future, we will also introduce tourist spots that the staff can recommend, so please ask when you stay next time. We look forward to seeing you all again, the day we can meet you again.

Great location with affordability

Family of three stay. Location advantageous to personal intent; quick accessibility to Metro station. Service staff courteous and receptive to needs. Room sufficient size and affordable for family on budget. Internet in room fast. Thank you. Would stay again.

Rather stay at a hostel

The rooms and bathrooms are tiny. I could barely sit down to use the toilet as my neck and knees crammed against the wall. The bed was rock hard. My room smelled like smoke. I would stay at a hostel next time, cheaper and way nicer

Affordable, central, small rooms

Located fairly central in Tokyo with short distance to metro station this is a good choice for people on a budget as this is one of the cheaper hotels centrally located and still very quiet. The staff is friendly and service-minded. You have free wi-fi here that works well. Breakfast is not free but you have plenty of places outside the hotel where you can get cheap food. Every afternoon, after 3 pm, you can get one free bottle if water in the reception. You have to expect a small room. Even worse, a very small bathroom. I understand it is common in Tokyo but this was too small. I had to have the door open when sitting on the toilet (average sized European). Showering was also difficult without splashing water all over the (small) room. The hotel has various items for rent if you need it, like nail cutter, air moisturizer, umbrella and more. Do take care of the room card. If you lose it you have to pay for it. Do buy 24 or 72 hours metro card online before arriving. It will save you some money and time at the metro stations. Note that this cannot be used on the JR line where separate tickets have to be bought (only max 24 hours tickets). Tokyo is a fun and interesting city that offers something for every taste. Experiencing a hotel like this is a part of the package! PS. Remember to walk on the left side so you don’t confuse the japanese too much. They are very organized (which is good) :-)…
