Trullo Santangelo is a complex of trulli with 9 cones dating back to the early ‘800, located in the Itria Valley, land of Trulli. It’s right here, in this strip of land between the Ionian and Adriatic Sea, that history, art and nature meet and join together into a secular marriage. The strength of the secular olive tree, the red earth and the white color of the trulli give to this valley charm and uniqueness, making it one of the most suggestive place in Apulia. A place where you can still stop time and recover your space, enjoy the serenity of the country, leaving the thought to be lost. In their architectural peculiarity, each room has a furniture that combines tradition and modernity, in a comfortable environment.

We really enjoyed our stay here, Daniele, his wife and extended family are on hand to make the stay as enjoyable as possible. We found our room to be clean, comfortable and nicely adorned. Our kids absolutely loved the dogs, especially 'Kite' (sorry, cannot pronounce the Italian version!). Ooga was a big softy at heart but nips at flies and can mistake a hand for flies, so watch little ones around her. She loved kipping in our trullo doorway! The breakfast was very tasty and the pool was really nice, although sometimes we felt a bit awkward having vocal children around some not-very-child-friendly adults who just wanted to read a book in peace by the pool...tricky! Found ourselves constantly admonishing our children for squealing with laughter, not quite what you want, but that's more down to a clash in clientele than anything the owners can do. We shall be keeping in touch with Daniele and would wholeheartedly recommend this establishment for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. We wish we could always eat our breakfast in the shade of a white mulberry tree...

Daniele and his family gave us a few unforgettable days in the Trullo Sant‘Angelo. Starting your day with a delicious organic breakfast underneath the old mulberry tree in the center of the yard couldn’t be any better. The Trullos are all very clean and beautifully furnished with handpicked items that relate to Puglia and lovely designed pieces of art on the walls, everything surrounded with a Mediterranean wood of very old olive trees. When it’s to hot to be in the sun, you can either chill in the hammocks at the pool, play with one of the dogs underneath the roofs in the courtyard or discover the white city of Ceglie Messapica.

Very nice and spacious room in a restored Trullo. Our room could easily sleep 4. The breakfast is lovely and served in a relaxed atmosphere, outside under the trees. The dogs were a bonus for us. We had one of them in our room most of the time, when we were there. They seemed to like the airconditioning. :-) Lovely swimming pool where you can either hang around in a hammock, or relax on a sunbed. Careful with the hammocks... I actually fell out... :-)

Such an extraordinary place to stay, the trullo is beautiful, the rooms are stylish, cool, and of a high standard. The breakfast is out of this world with local produce grown on the property. This is a little piece of heaven, quiet location in the middle off nowhere (a car is needed), beautiful pool, great hosts and a very friendly dog 'Hugo'. It's extremely relaxed and very welcoming and I would absolutely recommend a visit and hope to visit again one day.

We had a great couple of days here. A wonderful and original Trulli that is restored to perfection. Great location between the olive trees and a good startingpoint to discover Apulie! Good breakfast, nice pool and 2 sweet dogs. We will be back to Daniele! Grazie e ci vediamo! Frank & Saskia

Beautiful, relaxing stay in countryside. Charmingly decorated trullo with excellent breakfast which has been served in the open, under the tree. Wonderful hosts Daniele and his parents have been always there to help and make ones stay even more relaxing. We stayed for 4 nights in mid August. If you're looking for peaceful and calm stay in high season this is the place. Always recommend! Thank you Daniele

We spent a week at Trullo Sant Angelo and had a lovely time. The buildings are beautiful with plenty of space and a calm and cool interior. There is a nice pool, that the kids (10 & 12) spent many hours in, and the owners are welcoming ( as are the dogs) and friendly. We enjoyed the breakfasts with bread, fresh juice and fruit and a nice Cappuccino. The accommodation is near to the town of Ceglie Messapica and it is easy to get to a supermarket (you can use the kitchen and a fridge on site) and also many restaurants. You will definitely need a car, though, to get around as the town is too far away to walk (although we did enjoy borrowing the bikes). We bought some food for lunches and had one barbecue at the accommodation but generally ate out each night. Nearby there are some interesting and very picturesque towns (Arberello and Ostuni) that are well worth a visit and the sea is only 25 mins drive. An attractive location with a friendly welcome

Our family of 6 stayed at Trullo Sant Angelo for eight nights in July 2016 and it is a wonderful place to stay The building is very old and beautifully restored and forms three separate accommodation units which were perfect for us. Our hosts, Rosario and Rina, were marvellous and were so helpful in going out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. They loaned us parasols, a cool box and foldable chair for when we went to the beach The property is set in many acres of olive trees and has a lovely pool for guests to enjoy. Guests are given the use of a kitchen to make their own meals as well as a pizza oven which we used one evening. There is wifi in the outside eating area and one evening Rina gave us a pasta cooking demonstration which we all took part in and then she and Rosario joined us in eating the meal which we had helped prepare. Breakfast was a wonderful experience with our hosts cooking us eggs, home made tomato focacia and other breads. There was a good selection of wonderful home grown fruits and many other delicious foods as well as coffee and juices. The Trulli is situated about 10 minutes drive from Ceglie Messapica which is a wonderfully authentic Puglian town with its old town centre, narrow lanes and alleys, with many restaurants offering typical Puglian cuisine which provide fantastic value for money. Our hosts' son also runs a restuarant with lovely contemporary style cooking. Ostuni is only about 20 minutes drive away and our favourite beach (Torre Guaceto) is a 30 minute drive although there are closer beaches. Brindis airport is no more than 40 minutes away. Trullo Sant Angelo gets well booked up as it is very popular so my suggestion would be to book early. I can wholly recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay in Puglia.

A truly idyllic place to stay. Daniele and his parents are very hospitable and generous. The accommodation is simple, but is spotlessly clean throughout. Towels replaced every day. Crisp sheets on the beds. A wonderful breakfast is served every morning. Pure luxury. We stayed 5 nights at the beginning of April and it was warm enough to have breakfast outside in the garden, although it was not quite warm enough for swimming - the pool was not yet open for business anyway. It does help to like dogs if you stay here, as Hugo the energetic one will come and give you a big welcome. You'll need a car, but it is a perfect base from which to explore the surrounding towns and coast. Alberobello is nearby and full of trulli, but my preference is to stay here - off the beaten track amongst the olive groves. The local town Ceglie Messapica is 10 minutes away by car and has an extraordinary choice of restaurants.
