Free Wifi now, very clean room and bathroom. Room was cleaned every day while we were eating breakfast. Fresh towels were provided each day. Small kitchenette in the room. We needed a corkscrew and called Pamela at 10pm and she came down with a corkscrew within 5 minutes. She was extremely accommodating! Pamela went out of her way to do everything possible to make sure out stay was perfect. She even provided bathrobes. The breakfast was served on the sunny rooftop terrace and was very large and different each day- it was delicious and included fresh, organic fruit from her family's farm. We are both vegan and Pamela went out of her way to accommodate our dietary needs. She made fresh almond milk for us each morning and gave us special local cookies that were vegan. (normally the breakfast is not vegan) Parking was free and easy right in front of the house. It's a narrow road so you have to park as close to the side as possible, but for me this was not a problem at all. The B&B is about a 5 minute walk to the main square and castle. The B&B is not air-conditioned but it doesn't need to be- because the house is ancient and the walls are made of stone about 1 meter thick, it felt like it was air-conditioned and was always cool inside even when it was the height of summer outside. The room had a little refrigerator and Pamela provided free drinks for us. She sold olive oil in the lobby from her family's farm. We loved it so much that we didn't want to leave. The room was quiet and there was a private bathroom attached to the room. There were vaulted stone ceilings and the house had been lovingly restored. Great value for money!…
Stayed four nights and really enjoyed both the accomodation and the town itself. Charming rooms in an historic building located in a quite and peaceful local neighbourhood - a short stroll from the center with many really good solid authentic restaurants. Pamela the owner was young and very enthusiastic and full of passion for her region. Breakfasts were fresh and nice , but they would have been greatly enhanced by a little selection of cured meats......unless of course they were available unknown to us. Would return without hesitation.
The room was nice and the terrace was cold because of the wind. However, it was very quiet and a peaceful stay. On arrival, however, noone responded on the door bell or on the phone. 15 minutes later they called us back and we could check in. Apart from that all was in fact fine and it was not a big problem
We had a lovely 3 night stay. Pamela greeted us on our arrival and took us up to our room. We had been impressed by the pictures on the website but the reality was even better. The rooms were immaculately clean, well designed and furnished. The fridge was stocked with beer, water and juice and was a welcome inclusion to the room. Breakfast was served on the roof top terrace. Out of our six B&B’s on this trip Sant’ Anna surpassed them all with the freshness of the ingredients and the care taken over the presentation. We would recommend anyone wishing a quiet and relaxed stay to come to Sant’ Anna. The location was perfect for touring this part of Puglia and Pamela was extremely helpful with suggestions of beaches to visit and local highlights.
I booked 3 nights at Sant'Anna because it was ranked number one with great reviews and it was in an area of Puglia that I wanted to stay in. Our stay exceeded expectations. The value of this little B&B is outstanding. The room was beautiful decorated and the bed was wonderful. Finding Sant'Anna by car was a little difficult but street parking in front of and on the side was ample and safe. Pamela the hostess was delightful. She was kind enough to surprise me with a beautiful flower for my birthday. She also recommended two outstanding restaurants which were within easy walking distance Arrosteria Borgo Antico and Osteria del Capitolo. Ceglie Messapica turned out to be a quaint little town near Ostuni and in the Trulli region. I considered staying in Ostuni or Alberobello but Ceglie turned out to be a much better place for us. It doesn't seem to be a big tourist town but it offered exactly what we wanted. We are already planning a return visit to Ceglie and Sant'Anna and charming Pamela.…
What a great find - Fantastically decorated and extremely comfortable with those extra touches. We had stayed in Trullo nearby but needed to find accomadation for last two nights. Decided to stay in Ceglie as this was the most fantastic little town with great food. Wanted to stay within walking distance from Old Town but nothing else near enough. But good job as this wouldn't be beaten. Breakfast is coffee and pastries but the best bit is falling into that wonderful bed after far too much food and drink. Pamela has done a fantastic job in decorating this littler b + b. Santa'Anna and Ceglie Messapicca a must if your in this area. Good luck Pamela.
If you happen to be visiting Puglia i would rank b&b Sant'Anna as a must, my boyfriend and I actually regretted not staying longer! The rooms are all styled differently from each other and with a wonderful taste, they are clean, efficient and very comfortable, there is also a roof terrace where in the summer breakfast is served and the view is breathtaking. The owner Pamela is very helpful, she would recommend the best traditional places to eat and visit. Ceglie Messapica itself is a beautiful village in the Valle D'Itria if you are looking for the real southern italian deal this is the right place.
Ceglie Messapica at the heart of Puglia's Itria valley is already one of the true hidden gems of Italy. A city with great restaurants, stunning squares and views of olive trees, whitewashed towns and sea in the distance. Pamela is generous in the true spirit of the land she hails from. The rooms are each different and lovingly accoutred and maintained. The place is friendly, quiet, cool and relaxed. And the roof terrace - wow!
Sant'Anna is recently renovated. It is stylish, host Pamela is helpful and serve a nice breakfast on a classic table. There is a roof top terrace, where you can read in the sun. The rooms are spacious and clean. The quality of the bed is perfect. The price/quality level is very good. Ceglie Messapica is an ideal base to discover the region.
When you enter this place you cant help feeling happy, the rooms are big, and the high roof makes it feel spacious. You have a clean and nicely decorated bathroom. A little kitchen corner, a big comfortable bed and i had an old fireplace in my room. The owner has made her touch on it with the fun decorations. Its at an exellent location.
