Absolutely beautiful Masseria in a lovely part of the world - the pool , shaded sun beds , rooms, meals all top quality and we were very well looked after. We stayed in a pool view room which was beautiful with vaulted ceilings and decorated in the traditional style. The meals are amazing- breakfast was plentiful and included cake , toast with salami, ham and tomatoes and fresh walnuts and almonds and a juicer to squeeze your own fresh orange juice. Evening meals are all homemade and include 6 or 7 small plates ( tapas style) followed by a pasta dish then main course, fruit , and a digestif. Wines are lovely and not too pricey. We will definitely be going back. Thank you for a fabulous week.
We were invited to a friends wedding in Italy which took place at "Masseria Casina Vitale". We, a group of 6, arrived on Thursday an hour after midnight due to a delayed flight. Isabella, one of the owners, waited for us to give us the keys to our apartments. The rooms are quite nice. Besides a regular bed for 2 there was a spare bed and a big closet. The Bath has a big shower with a small integrated bench, a toilet (of course!) and a bidet. We also had a small kitchen with a fridge and two gas cooking stations. I need to say that I think not every apartment got one. Everything is clean and organized. A lady cleans the apartments floor every day and hands over fresh towels anytime you need one. The regular breakfast is small but totally enough. You know that dinner can be big in Italy! There are different kinds of bread, you can have cheese, ham and salami, boiled and scrambled eggs, fresh squeezed orange juice, cereals, natural yogurt and some other things. And Isabella served a fresh piece of cake (different kinds) or croissant every day. The pool is not the biggest I've ever seen but I liked the fact that it's not all chlorine! There is definitely a part of saltwater in it. What makes it even more beautiful to swim. There is sun all day at the pool, but you can also have shade under one of the Pavillons they build nearby. You will enter the property through an access road. The area is fenced so you can't enter without permission. There is a big parking lot under olive trees. You will not look at it when laying at the pool! A big patio (also with an olive tree in the middle, they are like everywhere in Italy) is surrounded by all the apartments. And another courtyard is more of an outdoor restaurant/party area with some kind of roofing and white curtains. So! The wedding! If you ever consider to have a party or even a wedding at Isabella's "Casina Vitale": Don't hesitate! As I know Isabella was responsible for the entire menu. And i need need need to say: incredible! We started with a welcome drink at the pool. Very casual with a little bit of finger food and Prosecco and non alcoholic drinks. After that we entered the patio and couldn't believe our eyes. We had four tables of the most incredible antipasti I every had in my life! Everyone I talked to afterwards would've been totally happy with just antipasti. (And believe me, everything was delicious!) Afterwards we had a little break followed by a couple of small dishes. Just enough to be able to drink and dance after every course. Long story short: our visit was incredible! If you want to know one thing not perfect: Isabellas English is very basic but she is willing to understand what you want and tries to help you with everything. Due to an cancelled flight on our last day we needed to stay one more night and she even separated the bills for that, so we could let the airline pay for that.…
Good agriturismo with clean rooms with A/C, a small kitchenette and a great swimming pool area. Staff speaks English. Meals were decent with a nice variety of local dishes (Purè, Bombette, Orechiette) and a limited selection of bottled wines from Puglia. Location near Ostuni and Ceglie Messapica and close to the coast.
Spent a couple of days at the Masseria Casina Vitale agroturismo and highly enjoyed the place. Nice, specious and very comfortable rooms, well equipped. The restaurant is fantastic, with a great variety of local dishes and excellent service and attention to the guests. No need to go out looking for a place to eat. We found the location central to many of the region highlights. All in all a very pleasant experience.
We stayed at the masseria for 4 nights. We had a romantic, secluded room. The weather was fantastic so we even enjoyed the pool. The place is within easy reach to many of Puglia's treasures, both near the sea and inland. Don't muss the local wonderful food, including burrata in farmhouses and local seafood.
This was a great base for the start of our early September visit to Puglia. We had a room with a kitchenette which was very spacious. It also had multiple outside seating areas--one in the front courtyard and also one outside the kitchen area near the pool. The pool was lovely. It is salt water, not chlorinated. There were also numerous loungers and chairs available. Breakfast was nice with a fresh baked cake or tart, choice of fruits (we enjoyed fresh figs during our stay), juice, cereal, yogurt, and fresh brewed cappuccino or espresso by our hosts. Ceglie Messapica was short 5-minute drive. We also rented bicycles from Puglia Bike Hire which were dropped off to us and biked to Martina Franca and Cisternino. Highly recommend Masseria Casina Vitale.
We enjoyed our stay at this agriturismo, which is a short easy drive from two pleasant 'citta bianche'. The standard room was not large but very comfortable with excellent shower room and all mod cons. The setting is olives and vines, so green with an excellent pool and lovely areas to relax. Absolutely delicious food. We ate dinner four times and each one was very good: especially the antipasti! The owners are friendly and helpful. Perhaps in high season the rooms on the courtyard like ours may be a little noisy. The position is ideal for visiting most of Puglia south and west of Brindisi and within easy reach of both coasts.
