We went for a meal here and wished we were staying! The meal could not be bettered and my wife's food intolerance was catered for without question and expertly. The staff have obviously been well trained, altogether a memorable experience, Our best meal by far in Puglia.

We first visited in May when we were out to view potential wedding venues. It was love at first sight! We were luck enough be able to reserve a room for 2 nights in August to enjoy the full experience the Masseria has to offer. It is such a rustic and relaxing setting it is hard to leave! The food... Giuliano and company have made a paradise. Expansive, funky, old-world, new-world, perfect taste. Mellow but gorgeous. Stayed only one night. Wished it had been a month. Have to return. Didn't even scratch the surface. The place made me almost indescribably happy.

Just back from a lovely two week break in Puglia. We spent one week in Montapoleone. It was lovely, everything had been thought of. Our suite was fantastic, the breakfast amazing, the pool glorious. The staff were very helpful and the meals were delicious. I wouldn't have changed a thing and hope to be back soon

It is the warm sun, wind and smell of flowers that welcomed us in the masseria. Together with a warm welcome from the owners. The picturesque white building is hidden among the trees which give shade on a sunny day. The rooms are small but comfortable in the original masseria building- this means stone floor, and small windows. After three... More

We went here for dinner as part of our holiday itinerary. It was a lovely location out in the countryside. The four course meal included some interesting and unusual choices (at least to us Brits) which were all good and very tasty.

Stopped here for dinner. The owners have created a wonderful location and must have spent a fortune renovating this masseria. Surrounded by ancient olive groves this is a beautiful spot, enhanced by the owners tasteful repairs and extensions. Dinner was excellent, and all our group said how much they enjoyed the food and location.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Masseria Montenapoleone is located in Puglia, in southern Italy somewhere between magic and forgotten. The region is rich in history and culture, yet has remained remarkably untouched by mass tourism, and therefore retains a charm seldom found in these well-travelled parts of Europe. The Masseria, was refurbished and renovated not to stand out, but rather to be part of the nature around it. Some of the rooms are even original caves and dwellings of the first settlers in the area hundreds of years ago. Each room, corner and secret area has been redesigned or embellished to encompass the natural beauty, which it already possesses. When you open the door of one of the suites, you are carried away to a world of serenity and unique rustic beauty. Each suite has been designed differently with revived artifacts, which are both a journey into imagination, and a memory of a time gone. An endemic nostalgia transports you to a time that you now belong to, all the while surrounded by all the modern amenities you need. Be nature's guest. ... more   less
