We stopped one night here and it was such a pleasant place. The room was very large, clean and had all the amenities. Not the fanciest place but great service and perfect location for visiting the area (Barolo is about 2 km). The breakfast is great - fresh cheese, meats, homemade cakes and delicious coffee - and the price is excellent value for money especially as they did not charge a pet fee. We would happily return!
We stayed here in 2017 and fell in love with Le Viole. You will never find a more welcoming place anywhere. Run by the wonderful couple, Luciana and Franco, the accommodations are reasonably priced, very clean and spacious with a delicious breakfast (great homemade jams, cakes, tortes, meats, & cappuccino). The location was perfect for us, in the heart of the Barolo vineyards, about 4 km from the center of the town of Barolo and 2 km to the spectacular hilltop town of La Morro (a great walk from the agriturismo). But as was the case in 2017, it is the warmth of Luciana & Franco that makes this place extraordinary. Throughout our visit, they and their daughter, Tiziana, provided great tips and were so cheerful, informative, and kind. I highly recommend Agriturismo le Viole as your base camp for exploring the heart of the Piemonte wine country.…
Le Viole is perfectly located - no more than 3km from La Morra or Barolo. We walked into Barolo twice and loved having the flexibility to be able to enjoy the wine without worrying about parking or BAC. It is some walking on the sides of the (can be busy) winding road and it is hilly. But fine for us. The real joy of Le Viole is the family feel. Huge welcoming smile and greetings. We navigated our lack of Italian just fine. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. There is no aircon but we had s fab and it was fine. There is parking on the property. Breakfast was AMAZING. Home grown and made jams & tortes. Delicious cheese & salami with fresh bread. Never ending fresh coffee. All the while Luciana is smiling and asking how you’re going. A gorgeously simple place to stay with a lovely genuinely family feel. …
Luciana and Franco are just about the nicest people on the face of the planet and couldn’t have done more to make our stay as lovely as possible! The place is gorgeous and the breakfast is fantastico!! Best place we’ve ever stayed!!!!
When I first read the glowing TripAdvisor reviews for Agriturismo le Viole I was a bit skeptical. You may not be able to tell when you first arrive. But having stayed there, you will never find a more warm and welcoming place anywhere. Run by the adorable couple, Luciana and Franco, the accommodations are reasonably priced, very clean and spacious with a delicious breakfast (great homemade jams). The location was perfect for us, in the heart of the Barolo vineyards, about 4 km from the heart of the town of Barolo and 2 km to the spectacular hilltop town of La Morro (a great walk from the BnB). But most of all, it is the warmth of Luciana & Franco that makes this place extraordinary. My brother and I arrived too late for lunch at the local restaurants, so Luciana fed us a feast of salami, local cheeses, bread and a delicious wine made by Luciana’s son from the family's vineyard. Throughout our visit, they provided great tips and were so cheerful, informative, and kind.
