First, I stayed for 2 nights in this lovely guesthouse, just 2 minutes away from the beach. Quiet neighbourhood, but not far from the Mirissa junction. The family arranged my whale watching tour for me and made me 2 amazing rice and curries 2 days in a row... The family was very nice, after 1 month of travelling alone, it was nice to feel as if in my own family. Wonderful hosts, who even let me help them to cook diner ! Breakfast was also great, on the nice terrasse ! I had a fan cooled room with shared bathroom. It was perfect for me. So perfect I decided to go back there for 2 days at the end of my vacation, just to relax, and I was treated like a real family member :) Very sweet family and amazing food for a reasonable price, what more could you ask for ?! I would definitely go back there if I were to fly to Sri Lanka again :)…

After looking at other hotels in the area we really didn't want to pay for the hugely over priced rooms, most of which are on busy roads. Then we found Moon Glow. Our room shared a bathroom with another room. The room isn't huge and is fan cooled. However, it hit the exact value for what we paid that we were looking for in the area. It is also in a very very quiet area for how centrally it is located.

Very nice little guesthouse with an excellent breakfast. Clean rooms with ensuite and powerful wifi. Friendly host, only downside is that the mother does not speak English. But there is either her daughter or somebody else around to help. Just a few minutes from the beautiful beach of Mirissa away.

we ware there for to nights..and room is comfortable for that price...she cleaned our bath room every day..she always..clean..everything....and also there the most important thing is the family...they are really nice..our feel like back to home..there the owner ..who called tekla..she is making really good breakfast ..and also ..if you need tea..she make it soon for you for free...her english is not that much good....she always trying to do her best for us.....our last day..she invited to us for dinner..super........she has make rice and curry...for us..it was really dilisious...i highly..reccommand ..this place to stay...loving family...

The room was so hot! We had a fan, but still it was so hot that we sleept really bad! We had fans almost everywhere in Sri Lanka and it worked good. But this was to hot! The bed and the pillow was also really uncomfortable. The owner speaks really bad english witch dident boderd us. Excapt when she helpt us book a taxi. We booked a taxi at 7.30 am and they thought it was 7.30 pm. We told them like 3 times that it was in the morning am, but still they goot it wrong and came rally late. This is more the taxi company that did wrong but things like this happens when its difficult with the language. Also the wifi is really bad and it didient always work. The owner tried to fix it and she did here best, but she probebly need to by a new one. If your not picky with a hot room stay here! Beacuse the outher things are littel things. Bacis hotel. The staff are really friendly from the heart! Good location near the beach! Really good breakfest!…

based on the extremely high rating and cheap price, we booked this hotel. it was a single room with shared bathroom. At the first glance, we were dejected and we even thought of shifting somewhere else. The room size was a little smaller than what we expected. Basically the owner has let out various rooms of her own house. but once we got to know Tecla more, we only had positive things to talk about it. Tecla is a wonderful lady with a very helpful nature. We are vegeterians so we had particular demand for breakfast. She made a huge variety of local vegeterian cuisines which we relished even till lunch. We infact asked her if she had more pan cakes (in the afternoon). In reply , she prepared fresh set of pan cakes again for us. Both her husband and kid are also very nice by nature. 4 min walk from Mirissa beach. The host, Tecla, is nice and kind, although her english is rather poor - we used googletranslate for singali and pictures to explain what we wanted. She has her 2 children helping her who are more fluent. Nice breakfast (fruits, roti, jam, eggs, tea/coffee, fruit smoothie) with a view, we saw a monkey and a peacock. Tecla is ready to make you coffee or tea any time during the day (for free! her tea is great!) and the serving is beautiful. She also offers to clean your room everyday. Late check-out was ok, she even gave us a spare room!

A cozy quite place away from the road noises. Located within five minutes walk to the sea with good breakfast and comfortable room with a bathroom. It felt like home, very caring and friendly host. I wish I stayed longer

I have been travelling alone around sri lanka and so far the people in this guest house have made me feel like i fit in jusg like home. I would highly recomend staying here.
