The break fast and the hall room is very nice. The staff and owners are very friendly. location is view is also nice but little far from the main beach (1.2 km), the most happening place of Mirissa. The owner has a great books and plants collection. The rooms are big and clean. However, the swimming pool needs to be renovated.
Having travelled to various locations in Sri Lanka over 10 nights, I had booked this hotel for our final 10 nights to chill and relax. Our room was huge with a large balcony area overlooking the sea. Comfy bed, good quiet air con and very clean. I asked about a fridge for the room which was put in within minutes of my asking. The owner is a true gentleman and nothing is too much trouble. The staff, happy and courteous and always greeted us with a smile. Unfortunately the whale watching was suspended the day we got there due to restrictions for Covid 19 being put in place. We had a week of going to the lovely beach before things started to change on a daily basis. A curfew was imposed last Friday so was confined to the hotel. We were so well looked after by the staff at the hotel, we spent our days around the pool and I have to say the meals we had at the hotel for the last 4 nights of our stay were absolutely delicious and plentiful. The owner sorted out our airport taxi for our flight yesterday at a very reasonable rate. In the circumstances we were facing, I would not have wanted to be anywhere else and will certainly return next year to stay. A huge huge thank you Esprit D’Ici for looking after us so well, we both wish you and all the staff good health and happiness.…
We were in a bit of a pickle, when we arrived in Arugam Bay to find that the whole place was abandoned during the off-season. Desperately we looked to move to the south coast the same day, and thanks to the flexibility of Esprit d'Ici's staff we were able to take a taxi to Mirissa the same evening (they even held back some food for us and heated it up when we arrived really late in the evening). Most memorable for us was the staff: so kind, helpful and friendly. Really laid-back atmosphere, especially with the garden on the 'jungle-side' and all the monkeys jumping through the trees there. The pool is equally nice, though it was not the cleanest we've seen, and it's a bit small if the hotel is fully booked. It didn't matter to us though. It's also a short walk to a lovely little beach where one can easily snorkel with turtles (just don't disturb them please, travel responsibly!) It's a 15 minute walk to the larger beach, but it's nice to be out of it as it can get noisy and busy. Room was really well maintained, and very clean. All in all, great experience, would recommend.…
It was amazing! This was definitely our favourite meal in mirissa. We sat on the patio on the second floor. Which has a really nice view of the beach. The service was amazing. Thank you Randiya sea view hotel.
The location is great, 50m from the beach only. The hotel is quiet with a very nice swimming pool at the back. The staff was so nice during all our stay and even managed to send me back my wallet that I forgot in the bedroom.
We spent 2 nights here with family. The rooms are enormous, clean and comfortable. The staff is very accommodating and the breakfast was very good. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice in it's jungle setting. The location is a very short tuk tuk ride to the main beach and a variety of hotels. Good value for the money. Bring bug spray!
A lovely family run hotel with super helpful staff who bend over backwards to help and provide for their guest's needs. The rooms are big and very clean and the hotel atmosphere is very relaxed and is ideal for families, with a large lobby area with plenty of seating, books and games. The hotel is situated about 5 minutes from Mirissa beach on the main road, but it is nevertheless very quiet There is a pool too which is ideal to cool off at the end of the day, surrounded by trees and bushes and with monkeys in the trees.I would have no hesitation to return again to this hotel as it is very clean, excellent value and there is a friendly professional team of people looking after you.
We were super lucky to be able to book a room at Esprit D’ici for five nights during NYE in the most popular Mirissa beach area. There were so many good reviews leaded us to the booking , but our in person experiences were even better! The moment walked in the hotel lobby , we were looking for someone to help to find back my friend’s phone ( he forgot it in the car and we couldn’t speak the local language to make phone calls), the owner’s daughter and her cousin both amazingly friendly and professional, helped immediately, as the result the driver showed up in hotel lobby with the phone. It was the first moment , we felt like their long time friends already :) And after the phone event , we started notice how beautiful and spacious the hotel is, is as described in other’s reviews , but better in person once again :) 2nd night during our stay , was the grand opening of their rooftop and there was a bbq party. We were sitting among the hotel owner’s family table , everyone was so welcoming and loving , offering drinks and explaining the culture of Sri Lanka , made us part of their beautiful family :) The staffs in the hotel are amazing , helpful and attentive but always make sure that we have our personal space being respected. The front desk gentleman ( I forgot his name) , offered so many insight suggestions , and very helpful and always there when we need to ask a question, on our last day , he arranged a car with the wonderful young driver to drop us back to Colombo to catch the flight . The vibes of the hotel and people always been so warmly welcoming and professional meanwhile they are so enjoying working together. The hotel owner is a great wonderful gentleman, I can see that he is really caring and loving what he is creating in the hotel, that is why everyone is happy( including his staffs and guests). I can not recommend enough to stay at Esprit D’lci Hotel, great place to be. Thank you everyone and we miss Sri Lanka already ! …
Stayed here for 3 days with family. Great breakfast with SriLankan food. Clean and huge rooms. Good sized pool. The recreation area was great. We had fun playing Carom. Close to the beach (right across the street from Coconut hill) and restaurants. The staff helped with arranging for surfing and transportation for airport back.
Beautiful and very clean rooms. Very comfortable beds. Rooms are quiet as off the main drag. UK plugs in the rooms made life easy. Fantastic staff and customer service, and they were very accommodating of a big group. Above all - fantastic hospitality. We had a baby with us and they tried very hard to accommodate this and provided a lovely and comfortable cot. Great food at the restaurant. Amazing rooftop where you can have sundowners. Good accessibility to the beach- 10 minute walk or few mins by tuk tuk. Overall good value for money. Only 2 minor negatives - could do with more towels, a hand towel in the room would have been nice, and they seemed to run out of pool towels. Also lots of mosquitoes by the pool and downstairs at the restaurant (but none in the rooms and all the rooms had mosquito nets). Wouldn't stop us going back though.…
