To be honest we booked this hotel by mistake. We had been recommended a hotel with a similar name on Mirissa Beach but ended up here. I cannot fault the people there. They are very friendly and kind and will do anything for you. The dinner was good and the breakfast was a feast of delicious fruit plates, eggs and breads. Simple, local food and we enjoyed it. Layan has a tuk tuk and can take you to the main beach for a fair price and if you exchange numbers will pick you up again. The beach is narrow but nice and is good for snorkelling to see the beautiful fish just off the shore. This is a basic hotel, the rooms and linen are clean. Spacious rooms, wet room bathroom, comfortable beds. They must have been affected by the tsunami and doing their best with limited means. My honest review is that the hotel is old and tired and generally could do with total modernisation. Frequent power cuts, limited Wi-Fi, reliance on a noisy generator, the pool needs cleaning, there are TVs in the rooms but you can’t get any channels, glass doors so light from the hallway is always visible. I wish this little hotel well, the staff are kind and I hope one day they can make improvements.…
I was scared in this place. Really really bad. Never again. The "hotel" is located on the beach which is not a clean one - a lot of boats, and there's a diving school so no privacy at all. It is 7 minutes by tuktuk from Mirissa beach. The room was terrible, and the bathroom was scary. There's no informations you can receive in reception, ladies look like you are bothering them and like they would prefer us not being there at all. We were travelling through the beauty of Sri Lanka and this place was really the worst. We love dogs but there's so many in here. By the pool, in the restaurant, and they are NOT healthy, unfortunately. When breakfest there was a worm on the table. I think Im not able to describe how bad this place is. Horrible. We cut our trip short in here. Do NOT recommend this place.…
Location is close to the beach, absolutely beautiful view Limited water bottle for drinking .1 per day Choice of dinner options also limited Breakfast not as great compared to other hotels No Lifts in the hotel. We had to climb stairs to 3rd floor. Hotel was also having construction activity going on. but when you are in mirissa ,you spend more time at the beach than at the hotel. so its a budget hotel with great beach access.
The hotel itself is very basic, but the rooms are clean and spacious. The access to the beach is really fantastic and is relatively empty. The breakfast is very average and is mass eating, with very little care on food preparation. However, you can book a lot of activities at the beach itself and you hardly spend any time in the actual rooms.
The fresh seafood on the seashore was the highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka, although the food in the hotel was super in a large selection. The room and its facilities could be improved. I would suggest, to initiate some public program and happenings in the evenings
Very quiet place just on the beach, and with no waves ( protect by a coral reef) for children, large swimming pool, good for the kids. Large bedrooms with sea view terrasses and good beds. A good place to stay some of days.
This is great hotel. Spacious rooms, friendly staff, excellent food, nice pool and a really (!) good spa. Try the “seed” therapy. Massage prices are around 300 rupiahs which is less than20$. This hotel is A bit pricy but it’s worth it. Recommended.
Was there on 6/7 March 2019 on bed-breakfast base. Also I had booked whalewatching on morning 7 March early morning. I expected boattrip of around 2 hours (starting 06.00AM). That's why I asked late breakfast. But boattrip took 8 hours (till 14.00PM). Therefore too late for breakfast, but I still had to pay for it. Also hotel insist extra money for late checkout. It was not my mistake, I was stuck on the boat. Finally they also ask payment for minibar, which I didn't use. This hotel is very bad for the busines. And I hope they will stop soon, so that touristbusiness will be healthy again.
After touring the island and staying in very quiet locations this was a bit of a surprise .felt very European on arrival .quite busy . Nice beach .clean hotel good veggie vegan food (no desserts ). At night time it's a nice beach scene bars and restaurants plying for trade. happy hour .cocktails etc. Only stayed one night to do whale watching would have liked another night . The only negative point is if they make you packed breakfast (not great) because you go on very early morning trip your not allowed to have food in buffet if your back early. But on normal day you can eat as much as you like.
The hotel is right on a quiet section of the beach and has a decent pool but other than that it doesn't have a great deal going for it! Rooms are basic and in desperate need of an update - although the balconies are a good size and face the ocean. The bathroom really needs a makeover - it's very dated, the sink in our room leaked and the shower was badly positioned, flooding half the room whenever it was used. The restaurant area is pretty poor and breakfast was awful! Not somewhere that I personally would recommend although a couple of other guests didn't seem to mind it.
