It's excellent. You should definitely go here. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. They will help you book whale watching trips and anything else you want to book. The property is very clean with a great pool. The breakfast is amazing too. Make sure you go to Dewmini Roti kitchen too.

Clean and friendly guesthouse. Ok location - short walk to beach and main strip of shops. Breakfast was delicious. Was just quite a high price considering down the road we stayed the next night for half the price, beachfront.

We rented several rooms at the Morning Star. There are a grouping of new and artistically furnished rooms cascading towards a new and beautiful pool that sits in a secluded forest setting. The original rooms are up a staircase on the second level of a traditional large home that has been converted for guests. The operation is family run and...

Mirissa is a beautiful little village with a very nice beach. We stayed at morning star two nights in September. We were a little bit disappointed when we arrived as we were expecting something else for the price we paid (56€ per night). The room was a bit small but nicely decorated, super clean and the bed very comfortable. Hot...

The family that run Morning Star made our stay amazing and could not have been more accommodating. We stayed in the deluxe rooms in the house; I would recommend one of the garden rooms as the road at the front of the house is busy and was a little nosy. Morning Star is a short walk from the beautiful beach...

Just make sure you book the garden rooms (superior deluxe) rather than the cheaper deluxe ones (which are in the house at the front of the property). This place is on the super busy road so you won't sleep well if you stay in the roadside rooms, but will if you are in one of the five really nice rooms...

Clean, comfortable and well located for the lovely beach at Mirissa. Rooms in the so house were small, but adequate. If we were to return (and we hope to!) we would request the larger rooms in the garden. Our host and his wonderful family could not have been more accommodating. Highlights include: - Fabulous breakfasts (esp the yogurt and homemade...

This family run boutique hotel in Mirissa was one of the best we stayed at during a 2 week tour if Sri Lanka. The rooms were private and comfortable with beautiful local batiks and paintings in each room. The infinitely pool and garden area were lovely...we lounged by the pool under the bright blue umbrellas , did yoga in the...

We are an active, semi-retired couple who wanted a holiday to totally relax for 2 weeks and then experience and explore the island of Sri Lanka, which we had read so many positive reviews about, for a further 2 weeks. After searching the internet for suitable accommodation and being totally overwhelmed with the number of guest houses and hotels, we...
