We stayed for one month and found the Secret Guesthouse a most relaxing place with real privacy. The Cabana as well as the Bungalow - we experienced both - are quiet places with beautiful gardens, lots of birds and other animals to watch from the terraces. Both places are tastefully done inside and outside with fancy details, antique elements and a stunning bathroom in the Bungalow. Best: The Spa is next door and a hidden paradise itself. They offer great massages, relaxing on your own terrace afterwards makes it all the more beneficial. Can only recommend the place 7 walking minutes away from the beach.
Wonderful. lovely room and grounds. Very nice breakfast. 10 minute walk from the beach Lovely spa facilities next door, reasonably priced Cannot fault our stay and would love to come back next year! :)
Amazing place. The room was very clean, modern and comfortable with beautiful views of the surrounding nature. A hidden gem, so peaceful and calm. Me and my family had a great stay at Secret Guest House. Thank you Nittaya, Dhamika and Davan for the hospitality.
On arrival we were taken up to the balcony room by staff who were extremely welcoming and helpful on arrival, even went into town to get us a few beers. A huge range of wildlife can be seen on the grounds including monkeys, peacocks, monitor lizards and some beautiful birds. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Located just off the main road, it is wonderfully serene but close enough (5min walk) to the hustle and bustle that you don’t miss a thing! A huge thank you to you all at The Secret Guesthouse!
We stayed 5 nights in the Moon Villa and what a treat it was. The house is wonderfully beautiful, the little attentions of the staff were so much appreciated, breakfast was great and the spa is highly recommended (even with children). Just go to the Secret Guesthouse, don't hesitate.
Tucked away, this was a real find! We had the bungalow which is in its own garden, with a fantastic porch and a huge day bed in the garden! The host provided delicious home cooked food, sent to our bungalow each night which meant us and the Hashbrowns settled in for a very cosy evening. Moon villa has two bedrooms and bathrooms plus a kitchen. Perfect for a family or friends sharing. It's attached to a lovely spa and a five min walk to the beach and the rest of town is close by.
Another wonderful stay after our last visit 3 years ago. Fantastic staff that were extremely welcoming and helpful at a lovely guesthouse on beautiful grounds. A huge range of wildlife to see including monkeys, peacocks, monitor lizards and some beautiful birds. The food was very delicious and reasonably priced. Located just the other side of the main road, it is wonderfully serene but close enough to the hustle and bustle that you don’t miss a thing! A huge thank you to you all at The Secret Guesthouse!
So cool and quiet but only minutes from the beach and restaurants. Beautiful room, such included a mosquito net. Breakfast was super-yummy! You get a discount at the excellent adjoining spa as well. Amazing value all round.
This was definitely the most lush place we stayed on our tour of southern Sri Lanka. We booked Moon Villa which was the biggest - but all the properties looked beautifully maintained and the gardens were just glorious. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly - to the extend of organising moped hire for us and stocking our fridge with cold beers. It's a really short walk from all the restaurants on Mirissa beach, but the food in is also very good. The house and grounds are beautifully tended and it was a real oasis of calm. We loved our own private lush garden with covered day bed on the lawn and the well furnished wrap around terrace. Could not fault it and would certainly recommend. And having the Secret Spa on sight was an added bonus - treatments reasonably priced and wonderful.…
From the moment we were welcomed at The Secret Guesthouse we knew we had found a gem. We had booked one night initially in a double fan room - the room was absolutely stunning, 2 double four post beds and the most fantastic bathroom, French doors opened onto a patio area overlooking a delightful garden. After a hiccup up with where we were moving onto Nittaya offered us The Cabana for 7 nights - A beautiful gateway led us into a private garden which is where the Cabana is located - we felt like we had found a small piece of paradise - again beautifully furnished with a wonderful outside sitting area. During our stay we loved the fantastic breakfasts, we also ate there on 3 evenings - again fantastic and brilliant value. The Root Spa ajoins the guesthouse and a massage there was a perfect way to round off the day All of the staff without exception were wonderful and Nittaya was so helpful. Thank you all for such a memorable stay.…
