This was my 3rd stay at Mandara Mirissa and the experience every time was better than the previous. Even though it’s named as situated in mirissa, technically its right at the far end of the Waligama bay famous for it being a swimmable sea & having elegant waves for surfer training. Nothing a quick walk for 2-3 mins on the beach cannot bring. Do not hesitate to pay that extra amount for an upgrade in rooms as the rooms are insanely spacious and we loved it. The staff & management was seen to be extremely friendly with all guests including us and did not forget to check up on us to see whether we are comfortable. It really is a hotel you can always go back to without a doubt.

This was one of the best hotels we stayed in during our trip around Sri Lanka. The rooms were very clean, excellent air-con. The pool and beach were lovely and the cocktails were excellent. The food in the hotel was very average, the Sri Lanka dishes naturally were a better option but we ended up eating out for dinner. Breakfast did have a good selection. Whilst we were staying Sri Lanka was in the midst of a government situation affecting fuel and electricity but the hotel did an excellent job to make sure it didn’t affect guests at the hotel. We had without a doubt the most beautiful Sunsets from our hotel room and the beach! Just an all round lovely experience

Very nice hotel. We had the chance to be upgraded to a sea/pool view. Great swimming pool and access to walk along the beach. Special mention to the sous chef, he came to ask opinion of every client at each meal which were very tasty! They gave us a breakfast pack as we had to leave early. Very convenient.

Nice rooms overlooking the water with a great balcony. A/C works well and staff were very friendly. Meals were good but buffet was a little pricey. I ate off the menu because I like smaller portions and the devilled chicken was tasty but the chicken was dry. We loved the beach bar and lots of wine was served so I tried the Sauvignon Blanc house wine and it was pretty good. A nice comfortable stay.
