Great hotel in Mirissa! We spent about two weeks in the Era House and have a lot of amazing emotions! Firstly it’s all about hospitality owners. They are so kind and patient, intelligent and open hearted! They always tried to help, to give advise and to make our presence comfortable and cozy. Next about the room- it’s very clean with modern design, good shower, fridge and iron if you need, some additional services as laundry for example. The room is cleaned in 2-3 days or in a period as you wish. Amazing big breakfast portions for whole day with local, European food and fruit plate. Moreover the owners took into account my food desires - I have allergy on some kinds of products. And special for me they made sausages every morning😊. In addition I have great experience of cooking with Nirosha (hotel owner) local pancake which is called “rotti”! The hotel is located near the ocean, it takes approximately 3-5 minutes of promenade to the shore. A lot of local shops with souvenirs, fruits and also the supermarket is in this area. Nirosha is a wonderful host! We stayed at Era for 2 nights and felt very welcome. The location is great, a quick walk to the beach. Her Sri Lankan breakfasts are superb, more than we could eat. She gave us loads of cold bottled water, lent us some snorkelling gear, did laundry for us (500 rupees per kg), gave us beach towels and organised tuk-tuk and taxi services to take us places (at really decent rates). Overall the place is clean and simple but was incredible value for money considering the service she provides. The only thing that could possibly be improved is the outdoor area where we had breakfast, its very basic and not really a comfortable place to relax outside, it got quite hot in the mornings while we were sitting there.

Our host was lovely and accommodating to our last minute booking and was also kind enough for us to store our bags for the day while we surfed. They also provided an excellent Sri Lankan breakfast! We always like to have the local food and she truly provided a fantastic spread. We would have stayed longer but she was already booked, her husband even carried our luggage to our next location out of the kindness of thier hearts. Wish we could have stayed longer!

I had 2 wonderful nights here! The owners are amazingly kind and go out of there way to make you feel welcome and at home. The room and bathroom are large and clean and the Sri Lankan breakfast is an absolute feast! It is off the main road so it's nice and quiet but still an easy walk into town and just a 5 minute walk to the beach. Amazing hospitality, superb food and an excellent location, I would definitely stay here again!

Stayed here for the past three nights. Very kind hosts, great breakfast, huge bathroom and nice bed. Air con works great and so does the wifi. Would highly recommend a stay here. They really care about their guests.
