Excellent host and manager Chandi. Very friendly and welcoming. Spoke brilliant English. Helpful, caring and always around if you needed her. Showed me how to work the shower. Chandi always seemed happy and helpful. Had a cooking class there as well with the wonderful cook lady Kuscum (apologies if I got her name incorrect) we cooked Delicious Sri Lankan food together Room was clean. Big Bathroom Roman the owner took me on a tour of the tea factory and explained everything in English as well as Slovak for the other people. Very much appreciated his time and efforts . Also allowed late check out for an extra charge but discounted rate. He also made the effort to contact me before I arrived to ensure I had his details incase I needed them. Breakfast was good. Toast and jam, fresh fruits and eggs cooked to your liking. 3 minute walk to beach…
We stayed in Glamour Mirissa for three nights. The room itself was amazing, we had a balcony looking out to the ocean, huge beds and in general it was very spacious. The people were very welcoming, caring and helpful. They also provide different activities and services you just need to ask. If you are travelling to Mirissa I would 100% recommend this hotel.
Hotel has a great location, easy to reach the beaches and restaurants of Mirissa. It is not at the main road which means less noise duri day and night. Rooms are clean, large and provide lots of comfort. Breakfeast is good and staff is nice. They helped us with a few questions and organized a transport. Would book again.
Words cannot describe how satisfied I was with my stay in this hotel. The price/quality range is huge. Our room was super spacious with an amazing view on the ocean. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they always made sure we are okay and satisfied. Their juices are pure perfection, I definitelly recommend the watermelon one. They are also offering great prices on whale watching, masaages and a tea company visit (which I definitelly recommend going to if you decide to stay here). After reading some other reviews, yes, the rooms are not automatically cleaned or towel changes are not on daily basis, but all you need to do is ask and they will do it. Also, the water in the shower is cold, but it feels really good in the 35 degree enviroment of Sri Lanka. But if you fancy a hot shower, you still can have it since there is a water heater, which you need to turn on and the staff nicely explained how to do it. And I think that’s great if you’re also looking for an eco-friendly stay. The reception area felt very cozy with cute squirells, (no, they are not bothering you). The owner is very nice and manages the hotel in a very friendly way. A big thank you to all of the staff members who made our stay unforgetabble, I definitelly will visit again. …
Upon arrival at Glamour if we had not had to pay nine days in advance we would not have stayed. The reception and outside area was dirty and needed a good clean. That morning we had checked out of a hotel in Udawalawe which was in the jungle and that was spotless so no excuse really. Our room was shabby with tired fixtures and fittings. Furniture stained. We had no hot water throughout our two day stay. The water was tepid only due to sitting in the pipes. Our sea view room had the hotel washing hanging over our tterrace and it stayed there even after we were observed by staff returning to our room. No Coca Cola/aerated drinks available. Tea, coffee and fruit juice only available. Our room was not cleaned during our two night stay. No change of towels or drinking water replaced. Bin overflowing. No satellite tv, pre-recorded films only. Stayed in six different hotels during a ten day tour of Sri Lanka and could not fault them but disappointed with Glamour. Staff pleasant. Breakfast okay.…
Most definitely- the owner Roman and his family were great and full of useful information. I was torn between a 4 or a 5 for this one. There were a couple of small points that stopped a five - don’t get me wrong , I really loved Mirissa and this place . Three small negatives- my room was a bit small and I struggled to open my case as space was limited and there was no where really to hang clothes except in the bathroom which was huge and also no bottled water provided and the supermarket was a bit of a hike. Don’t get me wrong- really loved the place and would have happily paid a bit more if it had a pool. Would come again- great value for money.
One big thanks to Roman and his great family Lucky and Romanka and of course to the helpful person! Great family guest house in an excellent location, beautifully clean rooms, excellent breakfast, perfect home atmosphere, we felt like visiting the family. Well designed and organized tours , massages, as well as transfers we needed, one evening of famed barbecue. On the beach in a few minutes, just cross the road, there are also seen turtles We were all very satisfied for the whole ten days, which of course seemed to us. Warmly recommended
Perfectly located family run hotel. Family atmosphere can be felt in the air so you will definitely feel like home there. A slovak owner with his Srilankan wife and staff will kindly advise you whenever and whatever you need and arrange all the trips! Hotel is designed in srilankan style, very clean, with the beach just across the road. There is a nice terrace where you can enjoy your evenings with friends and family in privacy without being disturbed. Just monkeys can appear but that's just a dream of every traveler :). Thank you Roman and Chirani for everything. We fell in love with your Srilankan family immediately! Your slovak delegation of 11 people:)
Glamour is an amazing hotel close to the most beautiful beaches of Srí Lanka. Merit to owner roman and his great and lovely family, the hotel is in perfect shape. The hotel scene is beautiful, the rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable. Cleanliness and service at a great level. Breakfast and fresh fruit juices home made 👍. The hotel staff is most friendly, grateful and still helpful (as one family 😊) to the beach it is just a short walk where everyone chooses what suits him best. I had a wonderful holiday with my 6y son. Only I regret that we was there just 9 days Big thanks to Roman, Lucky, Sely and the whole staff ❤️ see you in April 😊🇱🇰
We stayed here for 6 nights. It is beautiful place full of nice and kind staff. Rooms are furnished in European standard, which is not a matter of course in Sri Lanka. In every room there is TV full of films. Hotel is close to Mirissa Beach. Staff and owners recommend some nice trips near (whales watching, tour to tea factory etc.) Food was always fresh and tasty. We had great stay here and we hope to come back soon!
