Close to beach (3 min walk). Nice pool which gets good sun in the afternoon. Good breakfast. Place is made by Sharn who is a very helpful and attentive host. Booked one night, stayed 3. Far more reasonably priced than the beach hotels (which you will inevitably end up in for drinks/dinner anyway).
We stayed five nights at this place (second time here) very nice and clean room. Our outside place were perfect and very close to the pool area. We have about five minutes walk to the beach and the restaurants. So the location are the best. The Sri Lankan breakfast are outstanding and the staff are so friendly and attentive in everything we might need. This is the place to be in Mirissa, looking forward to return when the rooftop restaurant is ready and opend
Awesome place. The rooms were super clean. The owner and his staff were really friendly and very accommodating and out to please. Really close to a fantastic beach too! Would definitely stay here on my next visit!
We enjoyed our stay at Wavelength. The pool and facilities were excellent. Breakfast is superb and plentiful. All the staff were attentive and polite. The rooms are sufficient, clean and comfortable, with toiletries provided. Just a short 200 metre walk from the beach and restaurant bars it is ideally located. The sea at this end is frequented by surfers but a further 200 metres along the beach past the reef the sea is calmer and suitable for all. All in all good value. We will go back and stay again
Owner literally stole money from us! We didn’t originally book a stay with Wavelength, but because of a mix-up with our first hotel, we were moved to Wavelength for two nights and one night at the neighbouring guesthouse to Wavelength. For some reason, the owner of Wavelength meddled in our agreement with the first hotel and told them, that he was supposed to pick up the price difference for us (since the first hotel, we had booked and payed was way more expensive). We did not know that the owner of Wavelength had meddled, as this was definitely not something we had asked him to do. When we went back to the first hotel, they told us that the owner of Wavelength had stopped by and practically threatened them to pay the price difference to him. The first hotel then told us that we should receive quite a substantial amount of money from the owner of Wavelength, but when we confronted him, he refused to pay the money to us. His manager and the other staff members were kind, and it was clear that this was all him (the other staff agreed with us but couldn't do anything), but the owner made us feel extremely uncomfortable by shouting at us and acting threatening. We felt uncomfortable to the extent that we didn’t want to leave our valuables in the hotel at any point thus carrying around all our money, passports etc. at all times. All in all, a very bad experience with a seemingly very aggressive owner. Oh, and also the AC broke down and the warm water often didn’t work in addition to the rooms not being very clean....…
