Visited over the weekend and can honestly say it was the worst breakfast I've ever had. Everything was deep fried and just tasted of oil. The stomach turning point were the deep fried puddings that were crispy on the outside but a soft soggy inside which was a horrible combination. Even the eggs were over fried where the egg whites were brown and crispy. On the plus side all the staff were lovely and friendly and the hotel itself is beautiful - just maybe stick to cereal and toast for breakfast!

Lovely little hotel and very nice staff but the full time guests just ruin the experience. The walls of the rooms seem to be paper thin because you hear everything. The loud talking, shouting, banging and tv from the next room all stopped around 3 in the morning. So if you like your sleep I would avoid at least until the full time guests are gone.

Had a great time at the Abbeyleix Manor Hotel. Was with a large family group, all had a great time. Rooms clean and spacious. Food was good and the staff were excellent and very helpful. Would highly recommend.

Lovely hotel with excellent staff. Very comfortable nights sleep and a first class breakfast. The staff were both helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend. Within easy walking distance of the town and plenty to do and see in the area.

Ticked all the boxes, family reunion, 1 night stay over. From the minute we arrived to leaving we were looked after. We were in a double room which was clean, comfortable and spacious. We also had dinner there and food was lovely. Staff very friendly and courteous. Breakfast too had a great selection to choose from . Would highly recommend a stay there so much so as we were leaving myself and husband rebooked a stay over in January'23. Good value for your money.

My husband booked us a night away for my birthday and I can certainly say that the Abbeyleix Hotel didn't disappointed. With Hotels charging ridiculous prices these days this hotel will have you calling back. We got a rate of 109 euros B&B for the two of us YES that's correct 109, well the room was exceptionally large very clean and breakfast was divine, it definitely set you up for the day. Staff were also very friendly. Will we be going back 💯 % we will. Looking forward to our future stay soon 😉

We were gifted a meal voucher for the hotel and decided to use it this evening (Wed 12th Oct) at the main bar. We were a family of four, two adults, 6 year old and 1 year old. Food and service was good. We enjoyed the visit. Special mention to the very bubbly and friendly waitress that made the kids' visit very enjoyable.

Room was very comfortable and quiet. All the staff are friendly and super welcoming. The food was first class - I had a 4 night stay so got to sample a good portion of the menu. Best hotel I've ever stayed in by a long shot.

We got married here in April 2022 and it was amazing. Alex made the planning process so easy. the attention to detail was incredible. Everything went so smoothly considering they were so short staffed due to covid. The amazingly tasty dinner was dished out so quickly and there was a huge amount of it. All of our guests were so impressed with their stay, especially the food! the freshly cooked breakfast was amazing, I would recommend the mini breakfast the full one is huge!! We liked the bridal suit so much we stayed for 2 nights following our wedding. The bog walk was a nice way to walk off the hangover followed by a pit stop at Polly's. Thanks a million again for everyone for making our day so special!! We would highly recommend anyone to look at this venue for their special day. Catherine and Alan.…

Very nice hotel in great location close to portlaoise town. Room was spotless clean and spacious full marks to housekeeping staff. Receptionist was very nice checking in very smooth. Plenty free parking and nice beer garden overall i was very pleased it was quiet and relaxing no drama. Great break for couples leave the kids at home. Will definitely recommend to all and look forward to returning.
