Stayed here for 1 night as first night couldn't get transport. Taxis are very expensive from Fumicino Airport. I arrived Saturday afternoon. The castle is just beautiful. Breakfast included. Boiled eggs. Cakes. Meats. Cheese. Yoghurt. Croissant. Bread. So choice. We stayed in the Guard room. I'm very sensitive so didn't sleep. !! You could feel spirit there !! Which was... More

I went to Italy this summer with my wife and two friends. We spent a whole week at this amazing hotel. First of all its unique to stay in a thousund year old castle on a top of a hill overlooking the valleys around. The town and people of Nerola are very friendly and welcoming. It's a fairly short drive... More

Weekend stay for my sisters wedding the most beautiful setting. I have never stayed anywhere with such authentic atmosphere. You can almost see and feel the past and the presence of those who inhabited the castle centuries before. The wedding and all weekend activities were ran beautifully, food lovely, I visited many rooms and they were all authentic and well... More

This hotel is supposed to be 5 stars, but beside the castle, well-maintained and beautiful, the infrastructure is decrepit. My 5 star room had a broken tap in the bathroom, and nobody came to repair it even though I mentioned the problem to the reception. Had to sleep all night without being able to close the water of the sink.... More

The castle as a building is impressive, but your life inside is very uncomfortable. Breakfast is typical of a 2 stars hotel. Rooms are not convenient and poorly maintained. Few plugs, room bathroom located at the top of stairs, etc. At breakfast there were many totally dirty spoons at the container of spoons. The staff apologised and changed the overall... More

Obviously being a castle, the hotel automatically has architectural merit. But what the management chooses to do with the premises is what makes the hotel of good quality. And this is not a 5 star establishment in any regard. The prices are, but not the service. Given that most people go there for a romantic getaway, investing in the spa... More

Gorgeous views, quiet location, helpful staff, affordable room. About an hours drive to the east of Rome this gem can be found. Breakfast was included in price, if you want quiet and peaceful this is the place. If you have allergies remember it's old so bring your allergy meds. Would go back again
