Last month my husband and I visited Bagnacavallo just because we were passing by. The town has a lovely atmosphere and recommend a visit. We called by the Antico Convento to see its cloister and while there met the two delightful people who run the albergo - Fulvia and Paolo. They generously conducted us through much of the convent and shared its history. Having visited and spoken with them, we looked at the website for the albergo later on. Had we known about it, it would have been a delightful place to stay I think. Why not check it out if you will be in that zone. Certainly we will. The story of the meaning of the name of Bagnacavallo is worth discovering!

I have been in Convento San Franceso to participate in some training course for one week. It was a wonderful experience! The breakfast is amazing, the rooms very confortable and the whole arquitecture and decoration is a dream! And I would definatelly highlight the structure they have in terms of acessibility into the bathrooms, elevator and so on. Also the staff is very sympathic. I felt very welcome there! :)

This is a very striking and pleasant hotel, situated in a fairly quiet area of Bagnacavallo. We had two rooms, and each one had its own theme and style. The rooms were overall very pleasant, if a little idiosyncratic in places. For example, one bathroom had no shower curtain, and only one room had an air-conditioning unit. However, the beds were comfortable and the kettle and tea was a nice addition. The cleanliness and general good order of the rooms was also noticeable. More generally, the cavernous corridors, built around a grand inner courtyard, were magnificent, and gave the whole hotel a somewhat palatial feel. No dinner was offered, but we found several restaurants close by, notably Chiribillis, which we would heartily recommend. Overall, a fine hotel, and one we would firmly recommend for visiting Bagnacavallo or Ravenna.
