My friend Dianne and I spent two nights in the home of Annick and Francis. We recommend this Table d'Hotes for its great location. It is convenient to Pointe-a-Pitre and is a 45 minute drive from the airport. It is also near several beautiful beaches on the north end of Basse Terre. I went scuba diving in Bouillante one morning, and it took 45 minutes to get there. Annick is a wonderful chef and we enjoyed both her cooking and our conversations with her and Francis. We are Americans who speak French, but our hosts also speak English, so fluency in French is not required.
We did not know what to expect because there were only positive reviews for this accommodation before we booked. One might be suspicious! However, we reserved for 5 nights and we did not regret! Our stay was a pleasant surprise and all of us had a great time. The rooms are spotless, the hosts are very nice people and the food was delicious! Wish we stayed there longer
We had a great time as a group of five friends at Annick and Francis's. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the location excellent for exploring Guadeloupe, and the hosts are friendly and helpful with plenty of ideas and tips, as well as excellent cooks, including for guests with specific diets! I highly recommend this place for a Guadeloupe vacation!
me and my husband stayed only 2 nights at Annick and Francis, but should we go back to Guadeloupe, we'll try to stay with them at least 5 nights. We adored the place, the hosts, the location, the food. Location: The B&B is close to the airport of PTP, easy to reach. It is also in walking distance from one of the most beautiful beaches of Guadeloupe: Plage de Cluny and a hidden wonderful small beach, with a natural pool, the perfect place to spend entirely relaxing hours. It was our favorite place on the 10 days stay in Guadeloupe. These beaches are actually on a coastal hiking trail with splendid views. The beautiful beaches of Deshaies can be reached in about 10 minutes by car. Room: The room was spacious, airy, clean, the bed extremely comfortable. But we used the room just for sleeping, since we spent the evenings on the terrace, enjoying Annick's culinary creations and the get-together with the other guests. The house is built in an open style, taking full advantage of the cooling breeze. You also have a small pool to refresh and a beautiful garden where you can find some of the fruit and vegetable that are served for breakfast or dinner. Breakfast: Fruit, home made marmalade, cheese, ham, baguette, coffee, tea, hot chocolate or whatever you might wish for. It is delicious and a good start for the day. Dinner: Fantastic. Annick's dishes are not only fresh and delicious, but also diversified and sophisticated. Being able to have such exquisite meals at a B&B is just extraordinary. All the meals are served on their beautiful terrace, overlooking the luxuriant garden and in the mornings the sea. Hosts: Annick and Francis are the perfect hosts. They are friendly, kind, polite, funny, genuinely interested in their guests, with the gift of bringing people together and triggering inspiring conversations, helpful with all kinds of tips and recommendations about places to visit, places to eat, best places to go on the island. They also speak German fluent, which we very much appreciated, especially right after arriving on Guadeloupe. Their B&B is a place with a soul, where you can feel their passion and love for the work they are doing. We recommend their B&B very heartily and hope to be back one day.…
We stayed for 6 nights with Annick and Francis in their charming B&B. Our hosts made us feel very welcome and were extremely helpful with tips about Basse-Terre. The location is great for spending time on the beach, snorkeling and hiking in the national park. The room was very nicely decorated and had a very comfortable bed. The villa is in a quiet residential area and we were about 3 min away from a nice beach. There is also a great swimming pool with very comfortable chairs in the garden. The best thing about the villa is definitely the amazing food that Annick served for breakfast and dinner. Annick offers a great value 3 course dinner served on the balcony that always finished with a trio of desserts - all of which were heavenly delicious. Our hosts told us a lot about Guadeloupe during dinner and we enjoyed the conversations a lot. We would definitely recommend their villa for a stay in Guadeloupe and we would love to come back soon!…
