Lots of stuff doesn't work or needs special treatment. Very old needs major renovation. It's a pity because the building is Italian-constructed with the grandeur of the past, arches, statues, high ceilings etc.

The rooms are disgusting. The carpet had enormous dirty spots. The shower overflows immediatly. The toilet doesn't flush. The church right behind the hotel starts te singing at 3.30 in the morning till 8. It's really loud because it's so close. The staff is really slow. Takes an hour to make breakfast, 45 min to make tea. Terrible place, avoid...

Another average African hotel with the usual problems of no running water and basic unmaintained rooms. The hotel is about average for Ethiopia. Don't expect much but it's passable. There is a very good restaurant nearby though and it's in easy walking distance of the town centre.

Much like the previous post, I had money stolen at this hotel. Don't leave your key at the front desk, and don't leave anything in the room. Someone came into my room and stole $100 from my money belt. Manager was concerned but then went home without clearing up the issue. Bit of a downer on the last day in...

You may not want to walk barefoot on the grimy stained carpet but this place does have a certain charm with an enormous state of Johannes in the front and pepto bismal colored walls. At $15, I liked this place. Limited English but friendly helpful staff. Hot water available, comfy bed and relatively quiet. Also, conveniently located next door to...

I paid two nights and after the first night I packed everything and left the hotel. Dirty, could not stand the bed nor the bathroom, No water in the toilets. Reminded me of Tom Waits song: "À house where nobody lives". Never again

The Worst Ever. And I mean the Worst Ever. BED BUGS, NO TOILET SEAT, NO WATER, OVERCHARGED for ALL FOOD, WOKE US UP by KNOCKING ON OUR DOOR and WOULDN'T LEAVE. So I got trapped at this hotel. Basically a tuk-tuk driver followed me there because he wanted to be paid for literally driving me in a circle. So I...

The cost of a single room with en-suite bathroom is 330 ETB and breakfast is included in the price. The free wifi is unstable and good only near the reception area. Staff is friendly and helpful. However, the food in the restaurant has room for improvement. Location is a bit off the city centre and other amenities.

It's cheap, my room was big, toilet worked, hot water, not too loud so it ticked a lot of boxes. the lobby decor is beautiful, real retro feel to it. even the people working there, the men in particular wear large, odd coloured suits.. decent location too

“Get the "single" room (which has a double bed) instead of a twin - save a third of your money. HOWEVER if you are two females or two males - you can't sleep in a double bed, you have to get a twin. But they do allow a male and female, who are just friends, to stay together - weird.”
