Been here again and I have to say I was not disappointed. Food is excellent and great value for money. Great atmosphere in the pub and the staff can’t do enough for you . I would highly recommend the Coach House for a visit .
Poor service, average food. Seemed like the servers could only take an order every half hour and do one job at a time, understandable if the place were busy, but enough staff to take multiple orders,no smile or friendly service, would not recommend.
Our stay at the Coach House ( or “Midsomer”, as we referred to it) was wonderful. Comfortable, clean rooms with updated baths, tasty meals with large portions, breakfast included, and friendly bar/wait staff. Would stay here again!
Not the greatest b&b, there was no wifi connection in our room (could not detect any network) and the television cable had a bad connection making the image freeze every few seconds. The people however were very nice and the food in the pub was great pub food.
Fantastic service great staff Guinness is the finest Sexy gin I always get a friendly service from the great staff at the coach house would highly recommend this place to every one food is brilliant always a warm fire on a cold night and a bed for the weary traveller
Spent the day exploring Lough Dan and after stopped into The Coach House for some grub. Nachos to start were very tasty and we were famished. I then had the seafood chowder and to be honest it was only ok. The fish in the chowder wasn’t fresh, it was possibly from a tin which was disappointing. However the staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was nice, so we ended up booking a room in the B&B. Which was very last minute and reasonable at €80 per room on a Saturday Night. The rooms are cosy and warm and the bed was very comfortable.
No needt no comment. Pictures of Bathroom speak for themselves. Beds very uncomfortable..and mattresses n need of replacement. Rooms needed dusting.. could not recommend this establishment which is in need of a full refurbishment upstairs. We did not use any bathroom facility.. as the WC filled up when flushed.
My husband and I stopped in to the Coach House to escape the winds of Ophelia. We didn't have reservations before walking in the doors, but they were very accommodating to us and glad to receive us. The pub downstairs had a few locals eating and enjoying themselves, also escaping the storm. Our little room was all we needed. The bathroom was nice and clean with plenty of warm water. We went down for dinner the evening of our stay, and it was absolutely delicious. Carrot & cardamom soup, fish & chips, and roast beef & potatoes were far more than enough for the two of us to fill up on. The sweet potatoes were my favorite sweet potatoes I have ever had. The morning of our stay we came downstairs for a traditional Irish breakfast. Coupled with some friendly conversation from our inn…
My self and my hubby Philip Donnelly spent our honeymoon there this week absolutely AMAZING they couldnt have done anymore for us loved the staff Terry,Niall, Ashley and Nichola fab people so friendly great bit of craic and banter. ABSOLUTELY fab place its really a home away from home we will be back in March for my hubbys birthday <3 <3
B&B in obvious transition. We had a nice room but it was too cold. Finally found a staff person willing to get us more heat. Got our cloths dried too! Meals were good. Everything was acceptable after they found our reservation. But it lacked a warm welcome. So much depends on the initial contact.
