Delighted with the stay. The hotel has nice rooms, some with mountain views, others with views of the town. It has a private bathroom and free Wi-Fi in the rooms. The rooms are very comfortable, warm. The hotel has a good location and bus stops 1 minute walk. Without a doubt, I will repeat the experience. Very happy with the service provided
Had a great night here as part of the wicklow way. Clean room, and comfy bed, good price. Love the pub downstairs, really comfortable with loads of fires and comfy seats. Guinness was really good too 👏🏼 The coffee in the little blue pod cafe was amazing and the staff filled all our packs with water. Not far from the trail head only aprox 3km
We have just returned from a two night stay. The whole experience was excellent. From check in, the room, continental breakfast served by Paula, who was brilliant, friendly and efficient and checkout. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Excellent car parking. Will definitely be back.
My family and I stay at Coach House self catering cottage, East Hill, Newtownmountkennedy, Co. Wicklow, Ireland. This accommodation is perfect. Bedrooms & bathroom on the ground floor. All very well fitted out. Bedrooms are furnished with wardrobes & drawers. Bathroom has a lighted & heated mirror, heated towel rail, W.C. with bath & shower Upstairs has a kitchen area, dining area and reception area all open plan. Kitchen has dishwasher, microwave, oven, fridge and sink. There is a fabulous dining table and chairs. The reception area has two sofas, coffee table, tv, There is WiFi throughout. There is a washing machine under the stairs. This accommodation is five minutes from the town by car. There is a Dunnes stores there, a couple of pubs and two good take aways. The accommodation is well maintained and look after by Max. Nothing is a problem for him and he makes sure your stay is enjoyable. I can’t recommend this place enough.…
Great location, spotless & comfy room. Friendly staff & good food for evening meal. Beer garden is fab. Only downsides; could hear people in room next door talking & breakfast in coffee dock was poor & disorganised. No Coeliac option so no breakfast for me 😥 No problem providing a lovely gluten free evening meal😁
Well, during Covid, there aren't too many places for lunch in Roundwood on a Thursday. The Coach House Inn made us welcome and the huge wood-burning stove was also welcoming. The food was standard pub-grub- not inspired but perfectly OK. The student-waitress was as efficient as possible (she was on her own till 14.00) and is to be commended. Good parking.
A lovely visit @ ANYTIME for everybody, met a kind Spanish lady, Paula who looked after us 100%,the food was A treat, by master chef NIALL, many thanks, this is our 2nd visit on our break away from Spancilhill, co. clare. Excellent stop on the Wicklow way, as it's not far from the way and has everything: accommodation, dinner, breakfast. Nice spacious room, clean and cozy. the restaurant has a typical pub menu, which was great for us. Service was very kind, though quite slow, as the guys there do all jobs: reception, bar, waiters. There was no taxi service available in the morning. Not a big deal, but still...
The room was small. Other than getting our key when we arrived we never saw the staff. As a security measure they lock the gate to the parking lot overnight. Per the information we received the gate was supposed to be unlocked at 8am. We had a busy day scheduled and were prepared to leave at 8am. The gate was not unlocked until 8:45am. In the interim we could not find any staff to unlock the gate.
Eddie and the team put on an incredible feast for our team of hungry hikers. We had an 18km company charity hike from Crone Wood to Roundwood and had an amazing BBQ for 150 of us at The Coach House to celebrate at the end. The food was fantastic and ensured we replenished what calories we'd lost. Eddie even helped us with our fundraising by putting together a hamper from local businesses. Thanks, Eddie, we'll see you again next year.
