This has got to be the best Family owned hotels I have ever had the pleasure to stay at. Hotel Curracloe knocks the big chain hotels out of the ball park in my opinion. JP, Maria & their wonderful army of staff were out of this world. I was made to feel very welcome from the moment I walked through the front door on Tuesday morning there are no words to describe how friendly and accommodating JP & Maria were. The food is out of this world. It is freshly cooked to perfection and great portions to be had by all. The locals were very friendly, whom we had a great laugh and drink with in the Tavern bar. Murt you are a legend my friend. If you like walking, well 11KM of golden sands and award winning beach, Curracloe beach famous for the D-day filming location of 'Saving Private Ryan' is not to far away, you can also walk through the beautiful setting of Ravenwood forest - A 3.5KM-long forest that is filled with pine trees and evergreens. JP & Maria thank you, you have been the best hotelliers and the hospitality was second to none. See you again soon. Jay Robinson StageTruck…
Absolutely abysmal , three toasted sandwiches ordered , it took 40 mins and after waiting that long order was wrong. On paying we were told we hadn't been charged for the wrong order! We had sent it back and didn't have time to wait for another 40 mins , we should have gotten the food we did get for nothing. Diabolical won't be back
Location was great, a short drive to the most beautiful beach! Rooms were warm, clean, beds very comfortable, had bar food and buffet breakfast, both were lovely, varied menu. Good atmosphere in bar and live music on the Saturday night. Really enjoyed our stay. All staff were friendly. Will definitely be back.
Very dated hotel. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it. The room was freezing, the radiators didn’t work. Most bulbs were gone and there was a dead fly in the drawer where the hairdryer was. It really needs a serious revamp. The staff however were extremely nice and helpful and got us an electric radiator so that helped.
My party of 5 arrived at 7.30 for outdoor dining. Clearly the place was understaffed and very busy. However from 7.30 to 9.00 we tried to order 3 times and 3 times we were ignored despite giving us a menu. I understand the pressure they were under but my problem was the lack of communication. At no point did a staff member apologise and tell us we were not getting food. Thankfully we managed to get a local takeaway.
We stayed in this hotel recently for one night bed and breakfast and really enjoyed our stay. The food is excellent and at good prices for hotels today which many have increased prices. Plenty of outdoor dining spaces and because the weather was good it felt great. The room was spacious and clean. Friendly staff and service. Also the beach is close by. We hope to call back again soon.
Stopped off here for some lunch while visiting in Curracloe. The food was so fresh and very fast service. The place was really busy and we sat outside in the sun. The ladies that served us our lunch were so happy and polite, nothing was an issue. Definitely will be stopping by again
Visited Hotel Curracloe on Monday lunchtime, they have a good menu with plenty of choice. I had fish, chips and salad, my husband burger in a brioche bun and chips both meals were great the fish was so fresh and burger tasty. We would both recommend this hotel for food, plus there is the added bonus of an outdoor marquis should the Irish weather stay true to form
Great break, lovely place to stay. The food is excellent and great value and such lovely staff, especially Jane in reception, she is a credit to the hotel, so helpful and happy to help. We had a lovely break. Looking forward to coming back again.
It was great to get away for a few days, and I chose to return to Hotel Curracloe . This was my first choice for a break away. Great hotel, close to the beach, Wexford a short drive away, great food and friendly staff. Would book again for a short staycation ...
