Have to say we often pop in here when passing through and the food and service is always fantastic. Staff can not do enough for you and are always so friendly. Great to have the coeliac menu aswel. It really is a gem of a place. Well done to everyone.
Booked the hotel for one night for myself and my husband. First impressions of the hotel is very welcoming, our room which was bright nicely furnished was immaculate as was the bathroom. Breakfast which was served till 11.30 was absolutely fantastic will have you set for the day. Staff very friendly definitely on list to come back.
I highly recommend this hotel, the rooms are clean and very comfortable, with coffee/tea making facilities, very nice ensuite with bath/shower. The staff are very friendly, breakfast freshly cooked and delicious. Other meals available. I'd be happy to stay here again!
Was here for a family get together. This is about the 3rd time of staying here and the hospitality is outsatanding. The staff are there if you need them but not in your face. Rooms have been refurbished since I was there last and previously there were some issues with water going off, not this time. Rooms are lovely, I stayed in a single and it was a small double bed - not a great view out the window but wasn't in room too much as it was a family gathering. Everything you could need in room, plenty of towels. toiletries, hair dryer, iron, kettle, tea and coffee making facilities & biscuits. Room was spotlessly clean. BREAKFAST is FANTASTIC and you don't have to be up at the crack of dawn to partake. Lovely selection with delicious Soda bread and again friendly service. Menu & prices at other times are good and great to see so many locals using the place. Consistently busy but still provide great service. (In the words of Arnie) I'll BE Back. Thank You All …
I don't normal leave a review. But I felt I had to after my stay at the Templemore Arms. I was in Templemore for a family christening and I was more than happy with my accommodation. Very friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent. I had dinner the first night and it was delicious. Breakfast 1st class. Infract stay, I could not find any fault. Fully recommended a stay here if you find yourself in the area.
Attended a christening, booked weeks ago over the phone. We paid sane price as all the guests on our floor, as you can see size of bed & 2 pillows, in middle of bed. We raised his issue with manager and lady on reception. The managers answer was it's a double bed as per failte Ireland and there should be 2 more pillows there somewhere in the room. I asked why we charged the same price, why he wouldn't give an inch when discussing this issue. The bed is very comfy but the disco and people shouting n singing outside until 2.50am meant it was hard to sleep. The hotel just wouldn't acknowledge the issue or address it in any way. They refused to add a single bed even though our friends next door all had single beds in their rooms unused. So people of you booking in as a couple avoid room 17 as thdy will take the full amount and give you half a room and half a bed, and the kettle doesn't switch off... I'm sure that's an issue too but after giving the manager nothing only postive feedback and told him about the bed & price and his attitude I didn't mention it as he isn't interested in feedback unless it's postive. But food staff location facilities was lovely, really nice charming hotel.…
We stayed here again in April and the evening meal, drinks later on, accommodation and breakfast were all superb. Dan Ward and Biddy and all of the team make sure that you are always looked after to the highest standards and with a friendliness and charm that quite simply is unrivalled. We have visited on many occasions and we have never ever been disappointed. Many Thanks and Best Wishes. Paddy & Bridie Gleeson, Blessington, County Wicklow.
Very last minute, I needed a hotel around Templemore. Rang in the morning, Mary the receptionist was very helpful and booked me a double room. My partner was on a long journey walk around Ireland and was in need of comfy bed with shower. Room as ideal, a double bed and a single bed, ironing facilities in room and also tea/coffee making facilities. We booked a table indoor for dinner. The dining room was moved due to Covid to a large function room, and lacked any character or atmosphere, but understandably. The staff were great, and the food was good. The breakfast was slightly disappointing. Tea came out very early and was cold before the breakfast came, the breakfast could have done with some finesse on the plate, likewise with the serving of the toast. We needed laundry service, however they use the local launderette which was closed for the bank holiday weekend. Catherine the receptionist on both days we were there was amazing. We needed an out of office GP and she was extremely helpful. She also check in with us during dinner and also the next day. All in all, for the price, a lovely comfortable stay and would book again if in the area.…
Brilliant standard.. Reasonable prices... Friendly staff.. Family run hotel and the input shows... Your voice or opinion is appreciated and other options include lounge mixed grill from bar menu... A must have 😉
Best pub grub in area, its consistently good, great menu full of variety and in all the years we dined here have never once had an issue or a complaint. staff are very friendly and the place is very clean.
