Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We enjoyed an absolutely delicious chicken Sunday lunch here, the flavours of the food were just incredible. Credit to the chefs. The cocktails were really good and the bar had a great atmosphere on the Saturday evening, all of the staff were really friendly and our bar man Cian was very sweet and attentive. We also enjoyed a breakfast on Monday here which was fresh and delicious. The hotel has a real charm, I would highly recommend the Carraig.

Enjoyed my stay at the Carraig Hotel recently. Friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious, clean, and had everything I needed. Breakfast was excellent with many choices. Good atmosphere in the bar. Located in the centre of Carrick on Suir with convenient parking opposite the hotel for only €3 on exit. Special thanks to Kevin for his helpfulness directing me to the Nano Nagle Community Resource Centre. John O' Shea.

I went there for a couple of days and ended up staying longer, the staff were great and couldn't do enough for you, I had breakfast and evening meals which was very good. The hotel itself was lovely and very clean, I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you from a very satisfied customer.

A very friendly hotel, in a scenic small Irish town and just a short drive from the tourist overload of Waterford. This lovely, family run hotel greets you with an excellent on site pub and a very good restaurant. Nice sized rooms with comfortable beds. But the people here really make the difference. EVERYONE, from the food servers and bartenders, to the front desk and very visible management, were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

This is a friendly hotel in the centre of town with good rooms and a cosy atmosphere. Bar food is very good, and staff in all areas are lovely. Rooms are generously sized with everything you need for a comfortable stay. I’ve stayed here a lot over the years and I love coming here.

This is a very tidy and ornate boutique hotel. Breakfast is great. The rooms are small and tidy. Staff very friendly. There's no hotel car park, but free on street parking is available, or a pay car park across the road. Only small niggle is that the telly in room 301 doesn't work. Channels don't kick in. Having said that, I'd come back here in a heartbeat

Room Tip: Rooms to the front of the hotel could be noisy at night due to proximity to the street. Might ask...

Was awake until 3am listening to very loud music, so frustrating, breakfast was good, but definitely not worth 150e for a very bad quality overnight stay, no elevator or private car park, wont be returning
