Stayed here for 2 nights and we can honestly both say it was such a lovely experience! Lorna and Noel are two of the nicest and most interesting people and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Lorna is also a local artist and her stunning work is on display to admire. Breakfast was AMAZING - the nicest scrambled eggs I’ve ever had and the smell of freshly baked croissants greets you in the morning. Gallán Mór is surrrounded by beautiful sea and mountain views from every room and is a stones throw to all the walks around the Sheep’s Head Peninsula and the local pub/restaurant Arundels is just down the road, which has great food and in a really lovely spot by the harbour of Ahakista.
We look forward to returning soon very much!🥳😍
Holly & Katherine.

Lorna and Noel are the most welcoming and caring hosts you could ever imagine. Two seconds after entering the iconic yellow front door, we already felt like we were in a second home, surrounded by wonderful people.
All the breakfast options you can choose from are selfmade and you seem to taste the love and effort that is put into the dishes. The selfmade "dutch babies", Gallan Mor's signature dish, are definetly worth a try. The whole interieur is very stylish/chic and equally cozy. Our room was perfectly clean and comfortable, the view can only be described as breathtaking. Gallan Mor is the perfect place to spend your time, if you are looking for more than just a roof over your head.

We stayed here last summer (July 2019) on a friend's recommendation and absolutely loved it. Beautiful view, lovely house and great hosts. We arrived to the smell of fresh baking and a very warm welcome. Lorna and Noel had the perfect balance of being really friendly and helpful (gave us tips for a nice hike/walk, and called to get us last minute dinner reservation), but also not overcrowding us, and let us enjoy the view while eating. Breakfast was excellent by the way! The rooms were very nice, with comfy beds. Couldn't recommend this place enough! I don't know why anyone would stay in a hotel if you are in the area.

We stayed in the self catering cottage, An Gallan Beag, two adults and two teenage kids (18 and 16)

The cottage is lovely, comfortable, really well thought out, beds are excellent.

Lorna and Noel are just brilliant, fabulous people, couldn’t be more helpful, a joy to meet. They are superb hosts with great local knowledge and all the best places to eat (Arundel’s), walk and swim.

On arrival they had left a jar of their own honey, a demi baguette and some Durrus cheese. A really nice touch!

You can swim within a few hundred yards of the house and there are so many places to walk and swim around the Sheep’s Head. Definitely go out Mizen Head to the Lighthouse and Three Castle too.

My husband and I spent 4 nights in Lorna and Noel's gorgeous B and B. From the warmest of welcomes with homemade carrot cake to the regretful end of our getaway, I can honestly say it was the most relaxing mini break we've ever had.
Lorna is a fabulous cook and has great recommendations for restaurants and cafés in the area. Noel has a beautiful vegetable garden and honey at breakfast comes from the garden hive.
Ensuite bedroom was pristine, with crisp linen sheets and a view of Dunmanus Bay. We'll be back!

I cannot speak more highly of this place and its hosts. The grounds are stunning and it offers a beautiful view looking out to the sea. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the rooms are full of character. We stayed there and used the outer house too for my sister's wedding in June. The hosts were warm and welcoming, they allowed us to use their part of the house for the makeup and hair sessions in the morning and cooked for all the bridesmaids even though it was not included. Thank you so much Lorna and Noel. We all could not have asked for a better place the weekend of our sister's wedding.

We loved every minute of our holiday here from the moment Lorna opened the front door. Lorna and Noel's attention to detail and welcoming smiles made the Gallan Mor B&B our favourite in all of Ireland. Beautiful views of fabulous scenery from every window in this spacious accommodation. The delicious breakfast set us up for the day but the Dutch Baby was the "coup de grace". The location was perfect for us to go hiking as little or as much as we wanted. Great food to be had in nearby restaurants for evening meals. Memorable romantic weekend getaway!

There's a painting by Lorna which is called "A warm welcome" which features the bright yellow door and is a perfect description for what we received. As soon as we entered this door, we felt like home. The Gallan Mor is beautifully designed and decorated, it is just so special and really reflects Lorna's and Noel's spirit. They were the most amazing hosts, truly inspiring with great stories and passion and just so kind of heart. We won't ever forget you or the stay at your lovely B&B. Also the food and the breakfast were to die for (especially those Dutch babies) and the view was breathtaking. Thank you so much for this special experience!

We went for three days in the Gallan Mor. A better place for relaxing an enjoying is not possible. Such quiet, such a view, such phantastic hosts. You will never find it at another place. Wonderful rooms and a really cozy breakfast room with also a stunning view to the sea. A lot of spots in the wonderful garden for sitting, looking, picnic or what ever you want.

Lorna and Noel are extraordinary hosts: friendly, helpful and warm people. The breakfast is excellent and all morning freshly prepared by Lorna. When we arrived first Lorna asked if you would like a tea and a cake to arrive properly.
If we come back to Sheeps Head only to Lorna and Noel.

Thank you so much Lorna and Noel and the best wishes from Andrea and Patrik

PS: Try the Dutch Baby
