Mike and Julia are fantastic hosts. They welcomed us with open arms to their beautiful property. The dog agility course was the 4 pups favourite spot and the humans cant decide between the beautiful bar, the scrumptious breakfast and barbeque food in the dining room, the comfortable bedrooms or the chilled out sitting room. Absolutely fantastic and we definitely will be staying again! Thanks so much Julia and Mike
Comfortable, open and fun are the three words I am using it describe our stay at Carberry Cottage recently. We stayed in Seefin which was extremely comfortable and ideal as it has a patio area and we have two dogs. Both of our dogs, like many, have quirks. Mike and Julia were very relaxed, entertaining and made us feel very welcome. My partner is still talking about Julia's breakfast and our dogs are still talking about the escapee hen that they never got to meet!!! We really enjoyed our stay, meeting their dogs and we are still making our way through the music CDs they gave us. We will be back🌼
Myself, my partner John and our dog Woodley are just after leaving this amazing B&B after a wonderful two night stay. The hosts Julia and Mike greeted us with the warmest welcome when we arrived and were incredible for the whole stay. Our dog Woodley is reactive/nervous with other dogs and both Julia and Mike made sure that he was comfortable during our stay. The secure agility course was amazing to play fetch in the mornings and evenings to tire him out. The secure patio just off our room was perfect for Woodley to chill out in as he loves being outside. The food, wow!! We had the most beautiful evening meal one of the nights and the breakfasts in the mornings were 5 star without a doubt. Our days were filled with beautiful walks around West Cork visiting Barleycove beach and O’Sullivan’s bar in Crookhaven for food and drinks. O’ Sullivan’s bar was completely dog friendly which was amazing to see. Thank you Julia and Mike for these recommendations! We will definitely be back to stay here. We will miss the peace and quiet and stunning views.…
Yet again we had an amazing stay here this year. It’s one of our favourite places to return to with a stunning location and so dog friendly. Julia & Mike are great people and the dog run they have built is brilliant. We stayed in the Swallows nest this time and it’s a beautiful little apartment on the property, they also have a wonderful outdoor garden bar which is perfect for an evening drink. Beautiful beaches and castles to visit and very friendly resident horses 🐎 Definitely a gem and overall stunning place to stay and as always Mikes cooking alone is enough to go here for a breakaway. ❤️❤️
We are just delighted with our stay. Such a great hosts, lovely breakfast but the most important is the love for dogs 🐕 for accepting them, for loving them, for building even a dog run. Our dog is just so delighted, he even found his summer crush 😍 thank you very much for having us and we definitely will be back 😊
On the second last day of a fantastic week in Carbery Cottage. The hosts Mike and Julia couldn't be more approachable, friendly and helpful in every way. Breakfast was absolutely delicious every morning and a fantastic way to start the day. We had dinner there one evening and this is a memory I will keep for a long time in the most positive way. The sleeping arrangements were absolutely ideal for us. Many thanks guys for a holiday to remember, Richard, Róisín, Cian and Méabh.
Very pleasant B&B on Sheep's Head Peninsula. The rooms have wonderful ocean views. It is very quiet and relaxing. Julia and Mike the owners are adorable. They gave us an exceptional welcome and excellent service. I would definitely stay here again. The true taste of the landscape and hospitality of Ireland. Thank you very much Julia and Mike for this unforgettable weekend getaway.
Stayed here with friends and it was lovely. The hosts made you feel welcome and part of the family. The rooms are lovely. The animals are fun. Breakfast was delish. If looking for a B nB on this area I highly recommend
Carbery Lodge is perfection from the moment you enter it’s front door. Wonderful sea views. A genuine welcome from Julia and Mike, an offer of a cuppa, a spotless suite type room, large modern and spotless separate bathroom ‘ room’ with crisp white towels, bathroom liquids, the extras and special touches are in abundance. Breakfast coffee tray brought to my room at time agreed with an early morning text “it is outside my door”. Freshly perked. Being a food fussy the breakfast was pure perfection, pre-ordered the previous night. The breakfast table was wow inviting, beautifully laid out with white linen tablecloth and silver serving bowls and plates. slices of baked locally cured ham, local cheeses, homemade delicious white and brown bread , homemade jams incl. blackberry my favorite! Those local sausages and crispy bacon on the toasted homemade white bread were simply delicious. A request for a print out of a document was done with such ease and warmth. Julia and Mike’s crisp white uniform tops also caught my hygienic eye. Irish B&B’s take note! This is what brings us back. A Dub!…
We stayed here with friends as a wedding gift, could bring our dogs and from start to finish it was nothing but perfect 😊 Julia and Mike are just so lovely and perfect hosts. The house is stunning with amazing views and the dogs had a ball playing in the garden. Julia was extremely helpful with any questions and arranging restaurant reservations and cabs and Mikes breakfasts were so tasty and fresh. We had a beautiful room and could not fault one thing. Perfect hosts & perfect location. 🥰
