Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Station House Hotel as immediately become one of our favourite places to stay !! This friendly, but professional, family run hotel is exceptional. My wife and I stayed for 4 nights in November and would have stayed longer if they hadn’t already been fully booked. The Station Masters Suite was wonderful, slept so well. The food in the Signal Restaurant and in the bar top notch. The chef, Neville is doing a great job. Coming into the hotel having been out in the day was so pleasant, sit down in a snug area in front of a real fire with a pint of Guinness and a plate of one of Neville’s dishes was such a delight. This is a fantastic hotel well run with the most pleasant and professional staff I’ve ever met. Thank you Station House Hotel, see you all soon.

Amazing as Station House is, it was out shone by your staff. Everyone from the ladies at reception, the lady that cleaned our rooms and the various members of bar and banquet staff provided an incredible standard of customer service. We would like to pass on a special thanks on behalf of Eimear and Shane to your wedding coordinator Aoife. I would also like to thank your manager Pearse for his help throughout the day and your bar manager Steve. Finally, a thank you to your night manager for going above and beyond his duty in looking after our nieces and nephew that missed the last bus home!

We recently had our wedding at the Station House and we had an excellent experience from start to finish. The wedding team were excellent prior to the day and the wedding day ran without any fuss or issues. Would highly recommend for a wedding or just an overnight stay or bite to eat.

Excellent Station House. Brilliant food and service. Bread alone is worth going for...but impossible to fault any of the fantastic dishes on offer, either on this occasion or any other time we have visited.
