Arrived around 11:00 am after a pleasant 4 hour boat trip from Sittwe. I had made our reservation well in advance (fully paid) so the check-in process was quick. Our room was rustic - twin beds, single blanket, mosquito net. It can get cool at night & in the morning so do bring something warm. There appears to be a...

There are very few budget places to stay in Mrauk U. Prince Hotel was a great option; we paid $30 a night for a very spacious and comfortable double room. The only negatives about the room itself was that the shower was never hot, only lukewarm, and the noise, especially at night. Situated off the main road into and through...

This is family resort with main building (dormitory) and bungalows located in big tropical garden. Breakfasts are served outside at long tables. The owner, young businesswoman is amazing person who could arrange everything you need. You can rent bicycle and transfer from / to Sittwe by car. Cheaper bungalows are not modern, but clean, with local craft and specific atmosphere....

The Prince is currently renovating and doing a fabulous job. It is easy to see the owners vision for the rooms and the gardens. He has an eye for the style of the people who inhabit that region. The staff is very friendly and attentive, the owner is a gem. If you get the opportunity to chat him, do so,...

I was recommended this hotel, but could not tour the rooms before committing because I arrived to Mrauk-U very late. The room was quite old and ill kept, but for a budget price I initially thought it would do. Shortly after settling in the roaches began to appear, and when the electricity went out (common in Myanmar) I could hear...

We stayed here for 4 nights when we were exploring Mrauk U and the Chin Villages. We found the staff incredible friendly and helpful. They provided us with additional blankets when requested and ensured that we had hot water for showers at night. The room we had was very close to the road into town, so noisy during daytime. We...

The Prince is family run and they are all there........it is delightful. Be sure to ask for one of the bungalows. I think there are only three and they have delightful porches where you can have your meals served. The hotel is basic, but it is a rural underdeveloped area.......so set your hat appropriately. Enjoyed our stay there.

Spent three nights at the Prince, with 2 other couples. We all loved the place. The owner and staff are wonderful. They work hard to help us arrang out transportation to Bagan. The location excellent. The verandas are great. We hung out and played music in the evenings and the staff gathered around to enjoy. It felt like a family...
