My Husband and I stayed here as part of Our honeymoon tour of Donegal last September. Everything about this adorable little hotel was perfect. Beautiful room gorgeous little touches in the room and bathroom. The food for breakfast and dinner was delicious and outstanding customer service from all staff. Lauren deserves a special mention, the breakfast rush happened without warning, Lauren worked away with a smile on her face with extreme grace and efficiency, cool as a cucumber, and didn't forget anyones order. Staff like that are rare. We are sorry We didn't stay longer, We'll definitely be back. We highly recommend this hidden Gem in the very North of Our beautiful little Country.

Hotel's Favourite
Overall: Excellent hotel. Highly recommend. Family run with Jackie and Cathal very prominent - You can tell how invested they are in making your stay enjoyable. Trip: Family staycation holiday - Kids 7, 10 & 14. 5 nights. Hotel: Spotless. COVID protocols very good - Felt very safe. All staff were very, very friendly. Rooms: Spotless. Showers were great. Beds very comfortable and very large. Meals: We ate breakfast and dinner in the hotel every day. Breakfast was delicious and kids loved the pancakes and pastries. Dinner was lovely with plenty of choices for the kids and they were very flexible with any requests. Again, worth highlighting that tables spaced out a lot and high ceilings so felt very safe and waiters wearing face shields. Also had drinks including cocktails which were very tasty. Location: Not a lot in Ballyliffin itself (golf course but we don’t play). The local beach is lovely and the weather was nice during our stay. However, there are loads of options within short drives (30min or less). We drove to Drumcree (very nice to walk around) and Malin Head (again, very scenic walk) as well the Famine exhibition and waterfall. All very worthwhile and very enjoyable. Overall: Highly recommend.

We stayed for 4 nights here in July. This is a great family run boutique hotel. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Staff were very friendly and always helpful for advice and ideas on things to do and where to go. Perfect spot to explore Inishowen (and Donegal/Derry) from. Would definitely recommend.

We visited in September, and were welcomed and looked after, COVID regs make things a little more difficult but the staff at breakfast and in the bar were top class, the rooms large and comfy, the location great (we vsitied Pollan beach, Malin Head, Culldaff beach, Mamore Gap walk) and eat out at Rusty Nail and Nancys Barn, all in all top class

Stayed here for three nights recently while golfing in the nearby courses. While quiet time of year, really enjoyed our stay. Staff very welcoming and friendly throughout. Hotel is very comfortable and great, big and varied breakfast and dinner menus which will leave you full. Highly recommended....
