Johnny is a lovely pleasant owner, We have been coming here since we were children (sunday dinner) and we always look forward to seening him. He is always great craic and when he leaves you your always left smiling. He always goes round the customers and says hello, I find it lovely that he does that as not many business owners would do it and its a lovely touch to the locals and visitors. The food is always brillant and plenty of it. I would recommend to anyone visiting to get out this hotel. It is very well priced too. It also has great accessibility. Last time I visited was December 2019 but due to covid I havent been out but deffo will soon.

There were 35 of us on a golf trip two weeks ago and we were treated royally at the Strand. Excellent Covid cleanliness and social distancing throughout and a very comfortable hotel which was also very good value. Thank you John and your great staff.

The Strand had all we needed for a cycling weekend In Donegal. Just leave the bikes on the deck, this is Donegal, they are safe! Genuine Irish hospitality was everywhere, from Sean, the soon to be student, to the owner himself. We ate in the bar a couple of nights and the Chicken Maryland was great. The lounge area was perfect to watch the rugby. I cannot say anything bad about this hotel.
