Hotel lovely and staff very pleasant and helpful. The room was good size and tea coffee biscuits for guests provided. The breakfast was very good and seating area outside very nice . Would definitely like to go back for another few nights stay in this hotel . Need car to travel about as the hotel is out of town.

Went there as part of a group of 5 for Sunday lunch. Everyone was very happy with the service and food but as there was very little gravy on the plate with the roasts we had to ask for more. When we got the bill we were charged €2.95 for the extra plain gravy. This is the first time any of us were ever charged for extra gravy and we usually eat out every Sunday.

Went there multiple weekends for dinner. On Mother’s Day the turkey dinner was dry (most likely from it being a busy day so was already pre-cooked and lying out as it would be on demand for Mother’s Day). Went there for dinner on Easter Day. Rubbish starter- something that could be made at home and looked like it was put together by a 10 year old. Lazy salad and a few pieces of salt and chilli chicken. Not even a sauce to go with it. Just had to make do of a mayonnaise and salad didn’t even have a dressing on it. Not to mention, they shoved 4 of us in a tiny table that could actually be suited for 2 people. Had to sit on the edge of the table. Turkey dinner was nice that day. Randomly they charged us for extra gravy even tho last time we went we got it for free (a weekend before). Plus, very little gravy on the dinner, so definitely was a quick and easy way to con people out of money. Plus, had to ask THREE times for a jug of water! How hard is it to bring a jug of water? Customer service just ok, a smile could go a long way.

Stopped for Dinner after a day of road tripping. Sat down in the bar/restaurant which had food on the floor from previous people eating. Pure laziness to not clean the floor. Ordered Turkey and ham which was nice but the food was cold. Ordered Gammon which included a salad and also chips which neither came. Just gammon and potatoes. Asked for the chips and then they didn't come. Asked for Gravy and was charged €3 for a gravy boat. Staff were extremely immature and not attending customers the whole time during the meal. Asked for dessert menus after waiting half an hr for them and they brought menus which didn't even have dessert listed on them. We had to ask again and they provided the dessert menus but we decided to just leave anyway. Overall customer service and staff need to be more on the ball and aware of customer care. Been here the 2nd time and may not be back unless improvement.

Food was just OK, portions were very small. Service was terrible. Waiting 15mins before being served, eventually had to ask someone if we could order. Starters didn't all come down at the same time, two of us were finished our starters before the rest of the group received their meal. Main course was served with only one portion of mash potatoes and vegetables for 5 people, ended up having to ask for more. Dessert and tea/coffee took quite a while to come down. The waitress came down with tea/coffee but forgot the cups and then forgot the milk. The whole experience was very disappointing, wouldn't be in a hurry back. We much prefer the Sunday carvery over sit down meal.
