Went for dinner this week here. Fab menu with lots of local produce especially seafood. Had nachos for starters-delicious! Huge portion! Fancied something different so went for chicken melt-couldn't even finish it there was so much! But best bit is undoubtedly their homemade desserts! To die for! Yum yum!!! Dining room was wee bit cold when we went in but...

This is a great location for a quiet break surrounded by beautiful scenery. The lively bar ensures that one can imbibe and enjoy some company if it is desired. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The breakfast is delicious and there is a lovely choice. It is a fantastic base from which to explore a beautiful part of the...

We recently had a short stay at this lovely friendly hotel. Last year we had a great time here and we looked forward to visiting again. It feels so much like home that you might almost offer to give a hand with the washing up after dinner. The family who own the Caisleain Oir are all involved in the running...

Every member of staff was so helpful and friendly. I enjoyed a hearty Irish breakfast in tranquil surroundings. The bedroom was nicely decorated and clean with an extremely comfortable bed. Meals served in the lounge bar were so tasty, made with local produce. The atmosphere was friendly. A homely, family run hotel. I'll be back!

We felt at home in the Caislean Oir Hotel. Our room was very nice, very clean and with a very comfortable bed. The free wi-fi connection works perfectly. The staff is really nice and friendly. We had a dinner at the restaurant: good food, generous portions and great atmosphere. We are looking forward to coming back!

We ate in the bar area. The menu is very varied and the service was very quick and efficient! There is a good atmosphere with the blazing fire and a good buzz about the place. The portions were very generous so much so that we could not finish and did not order dessert! 😩 A clean and welcoming place with...

My wife stayed last 5th and 6th february and we found the sparkling reviews of this hotel to be justly deserved. We have overnighted in most of the coastal hotels in Mayo, Sligo and Donegal and are not easy to impress. The food was great and the family atmosphere was second to none. There were small factors that helped, firstly...

We are frequent visitors to this hotel and one of its greatest assets is its consistency, the food, service and atmosphere are always spot on in fact it is the benchmark that we use when eating anywhere else and we always say it's not as good as Caisleain Oir.
