Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed for 2 nights B&B. We also ate in the restaurant on the two nights. Can’t fault the food at any meal. The breakfast sets you up for the day ahead. Wonderful staff who take the time to speak to you and make sure you’re getting the most out of your stay. I’ve stayed at The Bailie in the past and will stay again in the future. Fantastic value for money.

My daughter, my granddaughter and I decided to head to the Bailie Hotel for breakfast. It has been such a long time since we were there. Every member of the staff are so kind and helpful. Our meal was just delicious and more. They couldn't do enough for us. Caroline and her daughter were so helpful and obliging. The Bailie Hotel is one of my favourite places to eat. Long may they continue. "I will be back"

Prior to lockdown we had booked a family event for my sons Confirmation, the event was themed and as we had never used the hotel before we were a little cautious as to how it would go. The staff just could not do enough for us, they even came to take photos of the finished product The food was delicious and there was plenty of it, everyone had a wonderful time and still talks about it

My wife and I had a lovely sunday meal here recently. It was A La Carte at the time we visited, the food was lovely and the portion size was large. Extra food was offered if we wanted more on our plates. We sat in the lounge for our meal. Staff were very friendly and offered to drop our drinks to our table. It has been a while since we had visited the Bailie and had forgotten how pleasant the family atmosphere was...

Myself and my two friends stayed here for a night to attend our friends 40th. The food is lovely in the bar and the bar is lovely. The beds were very comfortable and the room was warm. It was very dated and the ball room was very dated too but had a good stay. Overall the staff were all fantastic every single person was really lovely!!!

My Mum Rosemary Jones and I had 4 nights in the Bailie Hotel. The staff were very friendly, courteous. The room my Mum and I was very comfortable and we slept very well! The room was on the top floor and we were offered a room with not so much climbing for Mum. We declined, but that was a nice gesture. We would recommend the Bailie Hotel to anyone visiting Bailieborough. If you are coming for a weekend visit, be sure to get a room on the 2nd floor, as there is live music in the Tailor Lounge. We had drinks and lunch/dinner in the lounge, and again the food like our breakfast was first class, with very warm, welcoming staff on the floor, and behind the bar.

We recently had my mother’s 80th birthday party here, from the very start everyone I have dealt with has been so helpful in organising this event, we travelled over from the UK so was unable to visit the hotel prior but was made to feel nothing was to much trouble. Bridie, on the day, was very accommodating & lovely to deal with. . . in fact that goes for all members of staff we dealt with. . . & the party was a great success. The hot buffet was delicious & plentiful. The bedrooms could do with a bit of a make over, we had the family room which was very snug & maybe not suitable for 3 adults. Breakfast was lovely & I thoroughly enjoyed the vegetarian breakfast. . . with bacon added to it!! The bar was a lovely area to relax in with good Irish music & food. So all in all a big thank you to everyone for making us feel so welcome & lots of good memories made.

I think this is the only hotel in baileborough cavan. It's right on the main Street and the is ample parking at the rear of the hotel.the hotel is a little dated but we just loved it .bed was very comfortable and the room was ok size..staff are nice and friendly and the food was just quality wether it was breakfast or roast no complaints.there was no musis playing around the pubs on Friday. and I think the hotel and one other pub only had music on the Saturday night.music started good but then was mostly aimed and older people wanting to waltz.we are in our mid 40s and it just wasn't our thing.overall a good 8 out of 10..

I had the pleasure of dining in this hotel 28th Nov. The selection on the menu was unbelievable and it took us a while to select our choice. When the food arrived it was absolutely delicious ! We left very little on our plates. Sadly we could not fit dessert in as we were full from our meal. I will definitely be back again to try some other dishes ! The staff were outstanding and could not be more helpful ! I would strongly recommend to anyone visiting this area to call in here and sample their delicious food !
