This was recommended by the couple who own the cottage we stay in when we are on holiday and we have now visited The Anglers several times during our stays. I can honestly say we are never disappointed with the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. The portion sizes are extremely generous - no one will...

We dropped in here on a Saturday evening. There was no trouble getting a table though there were plenty of people and a good atmosphere. The menu is straightforward. Stayed here many times before and it's always like coming home. This time Francis was away fishing in Serbia, so we were a little disappointed but Joseph and Sean were fantastic hosts as were all the staff, Anita and Maggie are superb and witty and efficient, and as ever Pauline runs the kitchen like clockwork. The food is always plentiful...

The food is second to none in flavour , quality and quantity , this is a place where people have their dinner in the middle of the day, honest and wholesome fare, served with a good heart and an open hand. The staff were a...

Myself and husband ate in this restaurant during our stay at the Slieve Russell Hotel. The food was absolutely first class, I had the minute steak it was cooked to perfection and the portion was massive. My husband had the southern fried chicken which was tasty but I think steaks are the main attraction - you certainly won't be disappointed....

Gorgeous Sunday lunch, really enjoyed it. Well priced and free juice to help yourself too. It's making me hungry just the thought of it. Have also been in the evening a while back. Enjoyed a good steak :-)
