We were a family of five members and had booked 2 rooms for three nights through Club Mahindra. We stayed in Kutiya - the room is quite big and consists of beautiful heritage furniture. We were provided with a mini fridge, tea kettle, a safe, toiletries and clean bath towels. Staff at the reception, housekeeping and maintenance were efficient and helpful. We had our breakfast in the cafeteria. The Buffet used to vary each day and all the items were delicious. We had our meals in the other hotels for variety - there are many at a distance of about 6 km. Vehicle is a must in Hampi. For sightseeing one can hire two wheelers from Hospet. The entire resort is green - trees all around and pathways for a walk. One can call for the hotel vehicle to transfer till the parking area from your room. There is a chargeable lodging for drivers - 560/- per night but it is better to see and approve it before paying. Vodafone network was working well.…

We wanted to spend our wedding anniversary in Hampi and I thought staying in a spacious resort would make my wife and kids happy. But the experience we got here was horrible. There were many things mentioned in the booking voucher- traditional welcome, welcome drink, organic farm visit, dairy farm visit etc. in addition to the amenities like swimming pool, indoor games etc. But when asked, they said these were there till last year but stopped now! We had booked Villa type accommodation. Don't get deceived by the external pictures of the rooms. You get only one half of the building. The room is not at all maintained. Broken window blinds, worn out mattress, intermittently working intercom, TV with no picture clarity.. the list continues. Bathroom was full of dirt and even the closet had stains. Bathroom shower hot water mechanism was faulty- you just get either very hot or very cold water. There were no toiletries given, a standard of any 3-star property, except for a couple of bathroom towels. Positive: The external ambience is nice with extensive lush gardens and presence of a lot of birds. My children enjoyed seeing small frogs in the small pond after the dinner. Cafe staff was very helpful. A decent restaurant, though it serves only veg. This resort might have been nice some time back, but not getting any fund for maintenance anymore. The reception is full of pictures of owner standing with senior BJP leaders. He might have now become unable to fund the resort now.…

The Resort is spread out over very large area and outdoors are maintained very nicely. However, the rooms are average. The cleanliness of rooms was below average. Rooms also lacked basics like soap dish for toilet soap provided by the Resort, some provision to keep your toiletries in the bathroom. The wc flush remained faulty during our entire stay of four nights. The buffet spread is below average vis-à-vis the price. However, the all the staff was very courteous and helpful.

Stayed at Vijayshree for a 4 day trip to Hampi. This resort booking was a gift from a relative, the reservation was for a single bed, no frills, literally a bed and bathroom. The room was stinking, cobwebs on the light, dry leaves on the floor. We immediately requested an upgrade, paid several 1000s/night to get their best room - Krishnadeveraya Suite room. While this room did not stink and was clean, I am surprised that this was their best. I can understand that resorts like these are still struggling to maintain full staff, but they really need to step up their game. The resort is poorly designed as well, most cottages are at the far end of the property, dinner is served near reception in a weird, large, banquet hall (also stinks). Overall, the only saving grace was the hospitality of the staff, food was delivered promptly to the rooms, the kitchen staff is courteous. Food is average as well, not everything on the menu is available. It is clear that the resort has seen better days, if they don't step up and provide clean, hygienic options to the visitors, they may never see better days.…
