Detailed Reviews
We stayed summer 2020 and the toilets/showers etc were closed to due to COVID but that was no issue. Nuala is a lovely lady, extremely helpful and is a big advocate for the local business in the surrounding areas. The site and pitches are well looked after and prefect for caravans and further down nice flat land for tents. It is a very quiet site, if your looking for boozy late nights this is not the place, it is however so quiet and great for winding down. And very different form the usual Wicklow campsites When we arrived there were not many kids on the site and no play ground but our kids were happy to entertain themselves. The view and landscaping is amazing. If your looking for peace and tranquility away form the stress of every day life this is the place. The local village is 2 minutes walk away and has a real old Ireland feel. We will be returning this year and already booked.

We just had a lovely stay in Moat Farm caravan park. The location is excellent for exploring County Wicklow and for local strolls, walks and hikes. The village, 3 minute walk, has everything you would need, a good shop, two nice pubs of which one has good food, even got a haircut in the barbers.
The caravan park is quiet, peaceful and has all the amenities that's needed, toilets, showers, laundry, kitchen/dining room and sanitary disposal.
Best of all was owner Nuala. What a lady. She made us feel very welcome from the first phone call to the moment we left. She is extremely kind and very knowledgeable about the local and not so local area. Her family have delicious homemade jam and marmalade which Nuala can supply, don't leave without buying some.
Kieran and Arlene.

Me and my wife stayed in Donard most farm for 3 nights and it was quite a pleasant experience. The owner Nuala was a bit mad but there was a lovely girl working there during the some named sibeal who was just wonderfully nice and very welcoming. Donard is a beautiful village with some lovely chaps that are always out playing football. I went over to them to say hello and ask for advice on what to do and they were just lovely to talk to and very good at football ( especially these 2 lads named Paudie and Ruairi). They recommended Toomeys bar. I listened to them and I went there. It’s a lovely bar and we started talking to some locals. We were talking to the original owner of the pub, Paddy Toomey, he filled us in about the sporting history of Donard. I think I was talking to him for about an hour but not a minute wasted of my time. If you ever go to toomeys ask for paddy toomey and you won’t be bored. Any way the campsite was lovely and again try avoid the owner and if you need anything ASK SIBEAL

It's absolutely spotless, fantastic facilities and just so so peaceful.
Nuala the owner could not be any nicer or more accommodating.
We found it difficult with our dog at times in more cramped camp sites but here he has a lot of space and he loves it as much as we do.
There's a nearby shop and a pub if you fancy getting out and when you want to escape then you can relax at Moat Farm.
In summary, we couldn't recommend this site enough. 10/10, 5 stars, ballon d'or for what you want in a campsite.

We stayed for 2 nights at Moat farm and we couldn’t fault it. We have an 8m motorhome so the turn into the entrance was a bit tight, but the lovely owner Nuala met us on arrival and told us where we to set up. The pitches are very neat and well kept and the views are stunning. Donard itself was also lovely with a couple of pubs and well stocked local shop. Would highly recommend it.

1st time visiting This caravan site. What a lovely peaceful place with lovely views. The caravans are well spaced out and its got loads of open space. Nuala is a very welcoming lady. The town of Donard is 5 mins walk with 2 pubs and a local shop. Toomeys is great for food & drink.
We will definitely be back. 😃

Stayed here for 1 night. Nuala was very helpful and extremely friendly. Lovely campsite and well kept . We were informed before we arrived that the shower and toilet block would not be open due to COVID. That suited us fine as we prefer to use our own shower and toilets in our caravan at the moment anyway. It can be a tight squeeze just before entrance which we were informed of before we arrived but a great time we had. Would definitely recommend this beautiful campsite

Ideal base if walking in Wicklow. Facilities were spotless. If you want late nights with plenty of booze then this place is NOT for you. There is a general air of isolation and tranquility about the place. Everybody seems to just want to unwind and relax and take in the surrounding countryside. Nuala runs a tight ship and that's part of the reason we return again and again. I'd wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

A beautiful setting with so much to offer. Everything is well planned and well maintained. But what's the point in staying at a place like this if the proprieter suffers memory lapses and verbally attacks people at inappropriate times. Nuala is well aware of the fact that she has a first class campsite and never misses an opportunity to remind you, but her approach to dealing with people in general is more than lacking. Initially she came across as incredibly friendly, accommodating and welcoming. But the more contact we had with her the more imposing, tactless and difficult she became. As several reviews have already mentioned, she makes a mountain out of a molehill. She questions everything you ask for no matter how trivial, and tells you very quickly how unreasonable or unnecessary your request is. I've never met the likes and hope I never do again. It's a real pity because her staff (Naomi in particular) are a shining example to her of how she should conduct herself towards her customers. The worst part is that she clearly has a drink problem as she stinks of alcohol no matter how early in the day it is. Perhaps this explains why she has such a short temper and why she can go from being super nice to a tyrant in seconds. I genuinely hope that she sorts herself out before irreparable damage is done to her otherwise sterling business and other people are out of a job!
