Spent a couple of nights at Hog Hollow as part of the Grand Tour of South Africa, via Ilios Travel. Quality service, very friendly and personal and felt so at home from the moment we arrived. Rooms were fantastic in terms of quality, size, design and comfort and the views were spectacular. We particularly loved the evenings which began with... More

First impressions suggest immediately that you are arriving somewhere special, with every member of staff passing by greeting you. The welcome at reception was warm and straight away being offered tea or coffee on the veranda. The speed and slight of hand of the silky monkeys has be seen to be believed with a cookie disappearing before we had even... More

We have just returned from 3 nights at Hog Hollow and it was a perfect retreat. We loved everything from the beautiful deck with Vervet monkeys providing the entertainment, to the lovely rooms with fab wood burning stoves, to the yummy breakfasts and convivial dinners and finally the fantastic staff! Not to mention the fab pool all set with a... More

Our family arrived on a chilly, dark night, winding our way into what felt like the heart of the countryside. We spotted the 'light at the end of the tunnel' and felt relief, knowing that a meal and a bed awaited us - and what a meal and bed they turned out to be! We were greeted by the staff... More

Service superb nothing was too much trouble, the staff were amazing. Lots of wildlife and birds including monkeys that would come onto the balconies and into the rooms if the doors were open to steal or just ransack anything they thought may amuse them. Many attractions nearby including snakes, monkeys, wild cats and elephants. Food very good try the "Whole... More

I am so sorry we could only stay one night - this place deserves at least 2 nights! Accommodation was spacious and luxurious - loved the wood stove. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful - they go out of their way to engage with the guests. Breakfast is actually a "brunch". We will definitely come and stay again - I strongly... More

All the positives reviews were spot on! The staff are really fantastic, and it is all the nice little touches which set this place apart. The owners set out to restore the land and with faith in the local people who now run the place, they have restored more than a farm, they have created a gem! If we were... More

We arrived late evening and we're welcomed like it was our own home. Nothing was too much trouble and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and I would recommend this place to anyone whether for a relaxing break or a luxurious base to explore the local area from.

This is a spectacular location, about 10 minutes from Plettenberg. We had a spectacular thunder storm with lightening flooding the sky but the location high up in the trees made this experience even more dramatic! Food and ambience was excellent and so was the hospitality. Rooms were elegantly rustic with all facilities. So pleased we stayed here rather than in... More

What a wonderful place this is. We arrived quite late in the day, and unfortunately we were oonly here for one night, we were all given a glass of champagne on arrival. Our rooms had their own private deck, with folding patio doors looking out over the "jungle" and the swimming pool. Biscuits were left in our room to feed... More
