We stayed here for two nights and loved the newly built chalet type rooms separate from the pub in the gardens. It meant we could come & go without disturbing people in the pub. Beds & room really comfortable. I had an extra z-bed for my 3 year old, he was very cosy, there was plenty of space in the...

We stayed 1 night for a family celebration. Knowing it was an old village pub I was expecting a creaky old room but the rooms are lovely, modern and spacious. They are in a purpose built unit in the gardens of the pub, so lovely and quiet. Very clean, bright, spacious. Powerful shower and efficient heating. Breakfast was good, the...

Arrived with a lots of fellow moped riders. Ham eggs 'n chips. Premium quality ham. Two eggs fried to perfection. Plenty of chips. Beer in perfect condition. What more could anyone want? Quick service in spite of sudden influx of large group. Credit cards welcome.

We stayed here whilst attending a friend's birthday celebration (held in a private dining room in the Pub). The facilities were excellent and staff could not have been more helpful. The room had plenty of space and was equipped with TV, Tea making facilities, easy chairs and two folding patio chairs to enjoy the garden in better weather. An umbrela...

Just stayed one night as friends were getting married in a neighbouring village. We were running a little behind schedule, so when we arrived we immediately asked the owner for the number of the nearest taxi firm. The response we got was 'the taxis aren't that great around here, but jump in I'll take you!'. Really above and beyond what...

This is a little spot of Heaven tucked away in Suffolk. Close to Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth, so an ideal base for day trips. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable bed, large bathroom. Doors open out to a large garden area where early morning and twilight, rabbits, squirrells and abundant bird life amass. Our host Debbie was very welcoming. Breakfast...

On arrival at the chequers we were made to feel very welcome by the lovely owners. The accommodation is lovely, set back away from the pub in beautiful gardens with a river running along the bottom. We were allowed a late check out as they had no one else checking in to our room the next day, they also made...

rooms are tucked away from pub and overlook river with busy local wildlife, fab location to visit surrounding suffolk attractions (aldeburgh and orford short drive away). Friendly hosts. PS: Rolls Royce parked in the grounds is eccentric!

We stayed in a double room which was very comfortable and very smart. The hosts Debbie and Ron were such nice people that you just feel that you want to return again soon. The breakfast was excellent, we also booked and had our evening meal in the pub resturant which was also very good indeed. There are many places to...

“There are 3 rooms, a double, a twin & a 2 bed self catering room. All of great quality and standard I expect. All together in a peaceful spot in the garden.”

“There are only 3 rooms, we had the double. There is a twin and a family room also but our room could easily have accomodated a cot or occasional bed for a young child.”
