Stayed here for 4 nights. Was very impressed with the hotel at first. They provided bottle steriliser, baby cot and baby bath tub for my infant use. The stay was quite good until the last day when I requested for a quick 30 minutes late check out because my infant poo-ed all over and we had to wash him up before checking out and head to the airport. Called few times to the reception but nobody picked up the phone. Had to head downstairs myself and found the staffs talking amongst themselves. No wonder nobody want to pick up the phone. I explained the situation nicely to the staff at the counter and she was not helpful, told me not possible to extend even for 30 minutes, say will charge me half a day rate for it. She went to her manager, manager said no to me too until I gave up asking and walked away, manager called me back and say please try to vacate the room before 12.30pm. Over the many years of travelling, this was the first time I got rejected for a late check out, and it's for a mere 30 minutes only. Disgusted by this action. I'm not asking for a 2 hours late check out, just 30 minutes to clean up my infant and they gave such response. Minus 2 star for the inflexibility of the staffs.…
we are a family with 2 teenage children, stayed the first night 2 x superior (size 26m) 2x single beds, the next day moved to a standard family with a price 2x the superior price (size on agoda 33m, 7m bigger than superior) in fact the size is the same with superior, only the bed becomes 2 x queen size, so the space becomes cramped, can't put 4 suitcases, when we complain they just say sorry without providing a solution, when we want to exchange with 2 superior they refuse with the reason that it has been paid and can't be changed , except for adding money, so we are offered a bigger room by adding money, that is our right when referring to Agoda's size, the staff's language does not really understand English, so it is difficult to communicate
I paid sgd $200 a night and sgd$1000 for 5 nights here for just superior room. I thought it’s ok since it’s a 4 star hotel, but didn’t expect the cleanliness and service level fares a lot far below than the 3 star hotels in Taipei. Will not use their bath tub at all. It’s definitely an interesting experience for the first time experienced in a city hotel that the hotel didn’t even replenish a single coffee pack for the next day. 😂
The hotel’s location looks good on the map but it’s nowhere. You have to take metro or taxi even if you want to go to a restaurant. It’s in the old red light district. The room is small and the AC fails to dehumidify. The hotel makes all guests to check in at 3 pm, so there are long lines and the lobby is full of luggage’s. There are much better choices in the city center. It’s supposed to be a five star hotel but it’s actually 3 star at most.
A hotel with plain and simple interior design. I stayed in a single room. A little small, but acceptable. The room is clean and tidy, equipped with all necessary facilities. Service is excellent. Staff is polite and attentive. Good location. Near by the TRA Wanhua Station, which is one stop to Taipei Main Station. Five minutes' walk to MRT Longshan Temple Station (BL10). From here, you can reach most tourist spots in Taiwan. The nearby area is the old part of Taipei. Walking distance to many famous temples, culture heritages, old shops, restaurants and street foods. The problem is that the elevator is slow. …… And avoid to check-in around 3 PM, when there is a vast crowd of tourists in the lobby. You had to wait half an hour or more for check in.
This hotel is clean and within easy access of the metro, but the outstanding thing for us was the huge buffet breakfast area. Must have seat over 100 and offers Asia as well as western food choices. Our only complaint was the coffee. The room, although not large, was very modern with a great bathroom including heated toilet seat.
Hotel staff was real friendly. Due to the virus outbreak, every entry temperature will be taken. Room is bigger than what I expected. One suggestions: Trash bin can be bigger. Too small after supper etc...There is quite a handful of 早餐店。MRT is less than 5 mins walk
Last min booking at midnight as I was staying at another hotel but the pillow is too uncomfortable. Took the risk and book this hotel at midnight. Arrived in 30mins and hotel can't find my booking. Needed to wait awhile at the lobby. Room is decent and modern design. Space is well used too. Nothing to fault. Stayed 1 night. Booked another night 1 week later. This time driving. Realise the carpark is so inconvenient. It is across the road. No valet services too. When I came back at 1am, I'm allowed to park at the main entrance but the keys have to be left with the staff. As I'm walking in the lobby towards the lift. I heard my keys being thrown on the table, echoing loudly. Too tired to make a fuss out of it but it did left me with a bad impression of the service standard. Making me think twice if I'm going to stay here on my next trip.…
They use the space so efficiently that you don't find the room to be small in fact. It was neat and concise. The breakfast sections were great! Worth every money to stay here. The location is also convenient towards the mrt and don't forget if its not summer, head to the da wei jiang mu ya hotpot @ginger female duck hotpot, opposite wan hua Station. Its pack with locals over the weekend but the food is great!
This is a newer hotel built in the old Taipei neighborhoods. Located 2 blocks from Longshan Temple and the Huaxi night market. Train station is next door, right around the corner from the hotel entrance. The train station is only 1 stop from Taipei main station. 7-11 and Family Mart is only a block away. MRT station is right next door to Longshan temple. I would rate this as a decent 3 1/2 to 4 star hotel. The buffet area is excellent with a decent range of dishes for breakfast. The hotel room is nicely equipped with a refrigerator containing 2 cans of sodas. 2 bottled waters is also supplied and restocked daily. There is an exercise room available. Many foreigners (Japanese, Koreans, Americans) use this hotel as a home base for travel. The main negative and the reason for my 3 1/2 - 4 star ranking is because the solo rooms are very small. Didn't help that some couples in my tour group were given the same room so it was very small and uncomfortable for the 2 of them. I expected better qualify of service from a 4 - 5 star hotel.…
